Amazing atmosphere, and friendly staff. The chicken Parmesan was phenomenal. the tortelli De Zuca was good, but it was way too sweet it’s ravioli filled with a candied squash. But aside from that I truly enjoyed my visit and will return when I come back to the area.

A large and basic menu, it can be hit and miss depending on what you order. We like this destination as it is away from downtown SLO on a Friday or Saturday night. It can be noisy and cramped inside and the patio is dog-friendly.
Made a reservation and waited 20 mins to be sat due to the business of the restaurant. Waiter was attentive and food was good. The waiter recommended a food wine for the table. The restaurant was loud due to a large group nearby.

The food was amazing and to die for. The servers were nice. If you make a reservation they find you a table when you get thier, instead of reserving one for you. The building was beautiful and the atmosphere immaculate.

Had a wonderful Valentine's Day celebration at Cafe Roma yesterday. Great food and ambiance. We go there most every Wednesdays. Owners and staff are always there to greet you and welcome you like family. Thanks Rizzo family for treating us like royalty. LU. Patty and Pete

We came here for Valentine's Dinner. The restaurant was full and lively. Our table was quaint and sweet at a window - we felt we were in Italy for a few hours. The carpaccio was amazing and my risotto with scallops was a delight - my date loved his meal as well. We finished off with delicious tiramisu. Great spot to celebrate a special day.

3.5 stars. Overall we enjoyed ourselves. Great people watching. Some good wines by the bottle for very reasonable prices. The lobster bisque was somewhat one-dimensional and thin. The entrees were good, but not outstanding. Overall up to this point it was a good experience. And then, imagine my horror when I order a decaf cappuccino and what I get is decaf coffee (not espresso) and sad attempt at milk foam. Boo. Just don't say you can do a decaf cappuccino if you really can't or won't. For me it's a step too far in the wrong direction.
We have always had good dining experiences at Cafe Roma. Even with the large Valentine's Day crowd, they were on top of things, getting people seated in a timely manner and giving their normal top-notch service. My filet mignon was cooked to perfection.

Food was excellent! Wait staff was great, and nice ambience. We were only able to get a reservation for the covered patio, which was a bit on the chilly side because it was an extra cold night, that's the reason I rated it 4 stars instead of 5. Overall, we loved it!

We had a fabulous Valentine's Day dinner. My scallops and chanterelle mushroom risotto was unbelievably delicious, and my husband said “that was the best food I have had in a long time”. The service was excellent. We will certainly be back soon.

Cafe Roma stands out to my wife and me as one of the best Italian restaurants that we have ever been to. The outside is very inviting, the interior is handsomely decorated and you get a warm feeling as soon as you enter. The greeter couldn't have been more friendly and accommodating. We had reservations and arrived slightly early but were seated immediately at a very desirable table location. The drink server greeted us almost immediately and our drinks arrived shortly after. Our main server was clean cut and gave us a warm greeting. The food was wonderful. I had the Pappardelle short ribs which were the best I have ever had. My wife had the tortelli di zucca, which she totally enjoyed. We shared a wonderful beet salad. The energy in the restaurant was vibrant and one could tell that everyone was enjoying everything about their evening. We were visiting from out of town so we couldn't take leftovers with us so we ate everything on our plates because we couldn't bear to leave anything. As a result, we were so stuffed that we couldn't consider dessert. Our server, Van, took care of us beautifully throughout the evening. What a wonderful restaurant. We would recommend it to anyone and we look forward to returning.
