We loved this winery so much we ended up going back a second day to just sit and drink glasses of wine. My husband said it is the best pinot noir he has ever had. I loved the sparkling wine and rose flight. Tim was the best. We really appreciated his kindness and explanations of the wines and winery.

My friends and I came for a tasting at Chamisal, and we had the most amazing experience and tried the best wines. Devon, our tasting room attendant, was beyond attentive and knowledgeable. We cannot wait to come back soon!

Such amazing Edna Valley wines and Chloe was so amazing and hospitable. Highly recommend if you love Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Syrah, or all of the above. And super cool that they planted the first Edna vines.

Great wine and mesmerizing sunset. Although I didn't try their food, I'd totally recommend this winery. We had a great time enjoying the views.

Wine was excellent! Our server Kyle really knew his wines and went into detail about the wines which we appreciated. We took home 2 bottles of Estate Pinot Noir and Chardonnay

I was visiting some friends in SLO and they brought me to this winery. I was super impressed with the wine. I had no expectations since I was unfamiliar with SLO wine. I was in Slovang the night before and was unimpressed with the wines I tasted there. I was so happy to that my Slovang experience was not duplicated at Chamisal All but one of the wines I tasted was delicious. Of course it is hard to please everyone and and whether something tastes good is subjective. So don't blame the wine. Just my personal opinion. Our server was Amanda and she was the best. She was patient and answered all of our questions even though I could tell she was busy and had lots of other customers waiting. All of the staff was great and I will be happy to recommend Chamisal to anyone that will be visiting SLO. Came with no expectation and left with a case of wine. What could be better?

3.5 StarsSeveral Flights to choose from: Estate Flight $35/person, Signature Reserve Flight $65/person, Anniversary Flight, and wines by the glass for $12 - $18. They also offer a couple different tasting room food bites.Small, rustic winery building with a large covered outdoor patio offering views of the vineyards. Cole poured for our group of nine, and was friendly. It was a busy afternoon and times between pours were a little slow, so allow yourself plenty of time for your visit. It was nice that they allowed us to bring in our own picnic lunch, but I would suggest calling ahead and making sure it's okay to do so. We shared several of the tasting flights and found a few wines that we enjoyed. We purchased a Pinot Noir and a couple bottles of Chardonnay, including a 2018. Unfortunately, after we had paid and they started putting the orders together, they discovered that they were out of the 2018, and we would have to accept a 2019 instead. They did offer to provide a refund, but due to time constraints we had to make do.Personally, it was an "okay" experience, but I wouldn't rush back. I think the wines are well made, and I always recommend that you give them a try for yourself, as palates vary so much. Might be a better experience if you can visit on a weekday.

Recently we decided to visit Chamisal, that was our best decision in a while... The staff could not have been better, friendly, welcoming, knowledgeable and engaging. We got to enjoy a couple rare wines and honestly could not have had a better experience.
