If you love Oaxacan food then this is a great place to go to. The chicken with mole is wonderful. I also would recommend the pastor tacos. They even make their own popsicles with flavors you probably would never see at the grocery store. The decorations inside this restaurant are also very neat. They have an alebrije on display that is life size.
I had the asada burrito at Chinelo and it was delicious. The asada was juicy and the grilled onions brought out good flavor. My girlfriend got the taco salad which is a large portion. The service was great as they offered free spicy salsa to try. Highly recommend this place for authentic Mexican food in SLO!
