It's definitely worth a visit. Wish they offered a Chicago Style hot dog, which they may have an equivalent, but it wasn't on the menu.

Mediocre hot dogs at a very expensive price. I’ll keep going to Costco for the $1.50 hot dog and a drink.

Had the chili dog, maybe for Californians, it was hot, but for me the dog was luke warm and the chili was hot in places and Luke warm on the opposite end. Bun soggy. The onion rings were great

I come to this place every now and then. It has a vibrant, retro atmosphere that I relish. The convenient location it is in is also a huge plus.I’ve had breakfast burritos at many fine establishments here in SLO, and I’ve found that the best tasting ones can be found here. They are a bit pricy for a reason. The coffee is quite delectable as well.Highly recommend this place

Having a hard time with the quality of the food given it was $11.69 for a chili cheese dog (no fries or drink) with a distinct lack of flavor. The bun doesn’t have nearly enough structural integrity. The ingredients in general come off as cheap. If the dog was half the price, I’d understand. But for walk up counter and those prices, I expect more quality ingredients and preparation.

You go here because it's an institution, not necessarily because they're dogs are extraordinary. They're good, some menu items might be great, but overall this joint is a perfect solution to quell some hunger in a pinch or for a serving of nostalgia.LA street dog was my favorite.

Good hot dog. Homemade onion rings were good just overpriced for quantity.
