Great place for family dinner. The kids were happy coloring with provided crayons and the waitress was happy to help them with chopstick cheaters (plastic apparatus placed at the end to turn them into tongs). They loved the Ramune marble drinks and there was a fair selection of flavors. There were plenty of non-sushi options too.The udon is great but I love the special cut rolls. The miso soup is tasty and the edamame is great too.The ambiance is better after they painted the ceiling and the bathroom is always clean!Parking: Usually easy to find parking and I appreciate lights at night.Kid-friendliness: The kids

I’m sorry to say that my experience at this restaurant was far from satisfactory. I ordered the Cody roll special and regretfully, it made me instantly feel unwell. Additionally, the salad served alongside tasted unclean, and the miso soup was stale. To my dismay, the quality of the fish was BAD! It disappoints me to have to leave such a negative review, but the discomfort and sickness I endured are not something I would wish upon anyone.

The bento box lunch special was a great deal, and the spicy pork was hot but the spice didn't overpower the other flavors! I liked the salad and the crunchy roll as well. Again, excellent balance of food in the bento box lunch special!

This a great spot for dinner. We got the chirashi bowl, rainbow roll, and baked crab roll. Everything was excellent including the hot sake. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive!
Best sushi I've had in a long time. Ordered takeout with the hostess and service was great. The place was really busy but they were super accommodating. I got: Crunch Red Fox RollSalmon nigiri Cup of miso soup I enjoyed every dish I ordered. The fish was all extremely fresh, tasty, and in nicely sized portions. I will definitely be back to try more!

Best sushi that we have found for the money on the central coast, including both San Luis & Santa Barbara counties- try the Kumiko Boat if you have 3 or more people.
The sushi here never fails to be flawless and the other items I've ordered (fried rice, edamame, etc) have been equally great. Very extensive menu and quick delivery every time I've ordered!

Kumiko is by far one of the best sushi restaurant's in SLO. The fish is so fresh, presentation is beautiful and they have a great selection of wine and sake. The customer service is wonderful and restaurant environment is great. They have amazing lunch specials and they have a huge selection of rolls which I love. There portions are filling and their prices are competitive.
