Years ago this place was awesome. Diego was the best at customer service and always went out of his way to get products that the customers requested and was very helpful. There was also a very nice, soft spoken Cashier with long dark hair that was always welcoming. Now it seems the only time this place is pleasant is when a gentleman by the name of Nick is there. Nick is very helpful and never makes you feel like a bother. This last visit there was painfully awful. A guy was walking around with his face in a clip board so I asked the cashier for help finding a product. I felt as though I was a bother to him as he had to leave the checkout briefly to pass it on to the guy in the clip board who also appeared bothered that I dare ask for help. All he did was say "over there" and pointed to a center stand. Then I went back to the cashier and this time had a customer so he put my stuff aside to help that person. It would have taken him less than a minute to walk over and grab the item for me check my items out. His body language showed that he wanted to get me out of there as quick as possible. Talk about feeling like a bother. If I ever go back to that store I will call ahead and will only go if it is Nick and the staff he works with because they are all so very kind, considerate and know how to treat their customers

Does anyone teach their employees about customer service anymore? Clearly not at Lassens. Some mealy mouthed dude answered the phone and wouldn't open his mouth while speaking. I'm inquiring about buying tri tips and this guy was totally worthless. I keep trying to shop here but I'm continually disappointed. I think I'll just go around the corner from now on....

Selection of items is great for the healthy shopper. But the staff leave a lot to be desired. No one really around to ask questions to. Found someone who worked there and asked if they had garlic infused olive oil. Now here’s a pet peeve of mine. Her answer was “if “we have it it would be in aisle 16. So I tell her yes I’ve looked in that aisle but I couldn’t find it. So she says “yeah so we probably don’t have it.” . Really??? I figured all of that out on my own so the reason I was asking was to get an actual answer. Find out if you stock it first of all, since you clearly don’t know, and second of all find out if it’s in stock, or if it will be soon, or… ugh

Avoid Lassens in San Luis Obispo like the plague.. employees have a bad attitude, not helpful, and no knowledge of any of the products.. add to that the high markup on pricing of products, and you have a store that begs to be boycotted.. shame, since the market & deli that was there before was very popular, and I shopped there 4 or more times a week.. the employees at that store were very friendly helpful, and had lots of knowledge about all the products, but now.. not at all.. the employees all look unhappy, and as if they would prefer to be some place else.. we should help them by closing down that store.. just Boycott Lassens in SLO

Horrible customer service. On multiple occasions have had questions about products they carry and would have liked to purchase. No one seems to be available to assist when I am in the store and have been told to call and leave a message.

This place was my go to for fresh juice....Place for years..... now I skip this place ....New employee's very slow and not trained ...They just don't care....management has gone down the drain.... Forget this place.....

One of my favorite grocery stores. The hot bar food is great, a little expensive but worth it in my opinion.

The hot bar is chocked full of yummy nutritious items. They carry so many great organic and natural products. Their produce always looks fresh. They run specials all the time. Granted, it is very expensive but if you can find things you love on sale it is great. I love the helpful people in the supplement section. And over by the organic soaps, it smells amazing. Just a fantastic store with some eclectic items thrown in.

Dang. I picked up a deli chicken sandwich in a spinach wrap, and I think I can say this was the absolute worst lunch I've ever had. I realized quickly the very sour flavor was coming from the tomatoes in the wrap. I tried to pick them out, and they disintegrated at my touch - it's like they were old slices of tomatoes that were past their prime, and then frozen for later, and used in my sandwich. The wraps were soaking at the bottom of the container and very slimy, and there was an odd change of color from the outside (which I saw from the counter) to where they touched inside. I expect a lot more from Lassens, and particularly from a $10 deli sandwich. The part I was brave enough to eat was tasteless, and I ended up tossing most of it. Do better, Lassens. This is not OK.
