We had a lovely time at Luna Red. We had never been before and the food was really yummy. I was a bit disappointed by the goat cheese dish as it was mainly bread, so I would steer clear of this dish. Otherwise, we had some delicious tacos! Our server, Megan, was so lovely and we loved having her.

Luna Red not only has fantastic food, but has an unbelievably kind staff that caters to those with severe dietary restrictions. I visited here with my mother, who has to abide by a strict diet, a few days back and the kitchen managers were wonderfully accommodating. Thank you!

Paella was far from being paella. Rice was gummy, and seafood was overcooked / chewy flavorless. Would not recommend paella to anyone that had paella anywhere else.

First time visiting Luna Red. Good and service was excellent. Had vegans in our group and it was great that they had multiple vegan options to choose from. Will definitely go there again for a meal.
Had dinner at Luna Red. Got the Seafood Paella ($62, Dec 2023) as well as Gambas Al Ajillo ($26). The shrimp app was actually pretty spicy. Paella was full of seafood and big portion, though there's no socarrat, and is actually a little soggy. I think most people would prefer this version in America though.Not sure if it was the day I went and they were low on people working, but my family was seated in a table that wasn't clean, there were crumbs all over the chair. We waited a long time for anything, to order, to get food, to pay. I noticed other people were offered the coupon to come back after new years but we were also not offered that at the end of the meal. Perhaps it was because we didn't look like locals or my parents didn't speak fluent English, I couldn't help but notice the side eye.

I visited twice while I was in SLO at Thanksgiving. I had the mixto paella, which is the best I've had outside of Spain. Beautiful patio!
