My mother and I visited SLO a few days back and thoroughly enjoyed eating here. As a result of my mother's recent medical complications, she has had to abide by a severe diet that often precludes her from enjoying restaurant meals with friends and family. The NOVO staff, however, were unbelievably accommodating, sitting down with me prior and going in detail over what ingredients she can and can't intake, before prescribing potential substitutions and offering her not just one, but a few options. She LOVED IT! It has been incredibly hard to find restaurants that have been so willing to provide a warm and tailored meals. So thank you to everyone!

Novo made my partner and I's two year anniversary feel special even though the weather was so bad. We didn't special request anything, we just put in our reservation that we were there for an anniversary, and they went above and beyond. Our waitress, I do not remember her name, was extremely friendly and helpful. She checked in on us frequently enough that we didn't feel forgotten about, but infrequently enough that we didn't feel put upon. It was a busy night and, with the rain, everyone was sat in their downstairs dining room. I'm amazed no one dropped anything going up and down those stairs! Big thank you to the staff at Novo for making our night memorable!

Driving from LA to Sonoma, we got off 101 in SLO just after lunch hour looking for lunch. We find Novo with a late afternoon menu, perfect. Food was good local and fresh. Enjoyed salad and spring rolls by the creek and were back in the road within an hour.

Delicious food with fusion tastes and cozy upbeat atmosphere. This little place has something for everyone! Wide selection of wines and other drinks and not so usual foods. Refreshing change to dining! Reminds me of something you might experience in the upscale Manhattan area. This place is hopping so you may want reservations!

Popped in for lunch and it didn’t disappoint. Amazing views in the patio and the salad was absolutely fantastic! Love the way they combined the citrus with the blue cheese and hazelnuts in their grilled salmon salad. If you’re in town, this place is a must.

Everytime I come back to visit friends and family I come to Novo. Having dietary allergies, and restrictions Novo always accommodates. Yet they don't skimp on the quality and taste. Someone who is pescatarian, dairy free and gluten-free it's hard to find restaurants that make food that I can get excited about. Novo does a nice California bistro style with some Asian fusion mixed into their dishes very well. The service is always prompt, yet personable and just overall great experience. Which is how dining out should be, otherwise it's just about consuming and I can do that at home. Novo is a great package for dining. Also love their restaurant Robin's in Cambria too. Wonderful family worth supporting!Dietary restrictions: Gluten-free
