Best Mexican food there, and this comes from a Mexican that loves homemade food.

Best Mexican food in SLO and friendly service. Lock your car though. The shared lot w Jack in the Box isn't the best.

PSA: This is absolutely not a breakfast burrito spot. I ordered a bacon and egg burrito and added avocado on a Sunday morning. Picked it up and brought it home….no avocado, which I had paid for. ($31 for 2 burritos and a soda). There was a watery green salsa and when I called back to tell her the avo was missing from both, she said “let me ask the cooks…. they added guac”. Ok 1) I didn’t ask for guac, and you need to specify that when someone adds avocado. And 2) There was also nothing resembling avocado there. I ended up bringing this “bacon” to their attention because it looked and tasted like chopped up spam (pictured). When I went back, the owner said, “yeah it’s turkey bacon”. What!! You need to specify what kind of bacon is in your burrito if it’s not bacon. It was so salty and bad. The egg was also the folded rubbery kind of egg you get in a fast food breakfast sandwich. It was 90% rice and spam. Just a travesty all around. The owner was kind enough to refund my entire purchase, so this is just so others know. I’d go back and get tacos or enchiladas, but never ever a breakfast burrito from here again!!! Positives: friendly staff, huge burrito, clean environment. Owners: please fix these ingredients or train your staff to tell customers what your “avocado” and “bacon” are! This should be taken off your menu.

This Mexican restaurant is by far my husband and ours favorite go-to place! We come a few times a week, love the workers, they're always so kind and know us by name as we know theirs! They always ask how our family is doing, they're just overall the nicest people that work there! We are vegan and we LOVE our veggie burritos from here! We Highly recommend this Mexican restaurant, don't hesitate to give them a try!!

Below is my review from a couple of days ago. I had another dr appt in SLO so we came back here and we were so happy we did. This time we knew the food was good so I ordered 2 asada tacos and a pastor. My husband ordered 3 asada tacos and my son opted not to get the children's bean and cheese burrito and instead got a regular asada burrito. Again the cashier was so incredibly nice. She cut his burrito in half and put one half in a to go bag. This place is a definite stop for us whenever we are in town. The tacos were filled with meat so much so that we couldn't finish it and had to bring it home. My husband and I both stole as many bites of my son's burrito as we could. The beans were excellent and the rice was also flavorful. The asada was as good as the tacos. We were going to Jack in the Box for a quick bite but saw this place and decided to give it a try. We always like to try the tacos first so we got a couple of asada tacos and a hard shell taco for my son. We're from LA and have been having a hard time finding good Mexican food in Paso Robles. This place was so good. The meat was juicy and not fatty. The tacos had a lot of a meat. We will definitely come back next time we're in SLO. The cashier was so great. She was so nice and brought us extra plates and utensils.

On our way down to San Diego, i stopped by Taco de México and ordered the Carné Asada burrito and to my surprise it had rice and beans in it. Nowhere on the menu Did it say that it contained rice and beans. I would have gone back requested a refund or get something else in its place unfortunately we were already traveling south on the 101. Would not recommend this place to anyone.
