Love this place!!!! Great food, worth the wait ! Local fast food type of environment which is casual and laid back. Service has always been good.

Great portions, great food!they were able to accommodate a party of 15 with great service. We highly recommend this "California Fusion" restaurant.

This place was recommended by several locals and I now understand why. My group decided to try the Alaskan Cod Taco. The portion was huge! Not only was there a generous portion of fish on the taco there was also a whole salad on top as well. It took a bit to even get to the tortilla, but it was well worth the wait. The service was excellent as well. Those of us that had drinks as well enjoyed those. If you're ever in the area I can't recommend this place enough. I look forward to my next visit!

I have to say the most bland Mexican food I have had in a long time no salt no seasonings at all . It gets 2 stars because it is nice and clean. The food also seemed fresh but nearly flavorless. I hate leaving bad reviews but this was disappointing 36 bucks for fish taco rice and beans and carnitas burrito. The best thing was the chips and the horchata was not half bad.

Taco Temple is our go-to place for birthday celebrations. Always great service and great food with ample helping. Though we were surprised this time that it was virtually empty when we arrived, the crowd started to show up just after we got there. They must have heard I was there.

Very good service. Portions are big and tasty.Specials are worth trying. Nice seafood tacos. The warm chips and tasty homemade salsa start you off right. A lot of food might want to split!

Plenty of parking. Spacious seating area. Seated quickly. Wait staff ok, busy , rarely checked back with us. I had to ask for my preferred things. Food not quite what I expected for " Mexican". Very bland- hardly any taste to any of it.

The quality of the Mexican food is ok. What brings up the eating is the carrot cake. Simply incredible. Plus, huge portion.

My son and I just had dinner here. We were greeted and sat right away with fresh chips and salsa right away. The server explained that was their regular salsa but there was spicier available if we wished, we wished and it was really really good. We ordered a calamari taco and Baja taco. No it's not authentic Mexican food, is that's what you're looking for this is not that. Out tacos came out quickly and piping hot. They were huge, the fish extremely fresh and tons of flavor. Neither of us could finish out good and took it to go. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Hopefully we'll be back soon before we leave SLO on Monday.

What the other reviewers said about the carrot cake is true! I stopped by there just to buy the carrot cake as a take-out dessert. The slice was so huge that I had more than enough to eat the next day and share with a friend when I got home from my trip. The employee I spoke with told me they have a bakery on site and make all of their own desserts. It's the most delicious carrot cake I've ever had. The only reason I didn't have dinner there was that I was on the last night of a business trip in San Luis Obispo and the co-worker I was going to dinner with wanted Chinese food that evening. Other co-workers had lunch there the day before, though, and they said the food was excellent. If I am ever out that way again, I am going to stop for lunch and/or dinner, AND definitely buy a slice of carrot cake to take home. It's not cheap - it was about $11 for the slice of cake - but one slice is more than enough for two adults to eat.

I was surprised to see the amount of seafood options on the menu and the listed specials on the wall. The bowl of clam chowder was good and Im betting made in house since I had what looked like a bay leaf. I also went with the ceviche. Huge.

Just bad. In a party of 8 five people left disappointed about their food. The place reeks of low quality seafood that punches you in the face as soon as you walk in. The burger is huge to distract from the fact it's overcooked and poorly made. Seafood is beyond bland. Should've known it was gonna be a disappointment when they served Pace sauce.

I grew up in California eating near-the-border authentic Mexican food, so it makes sense being so far up north, you'd get food that was far away from authentic. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't bad, it just wasn't authentic Mexican food. I once dated someone that said Chipotle was the first Mexican restaurant he'd ever eaten at, and I feel like he'd LOVE this place. The decorations are cute, but I'm a sucker for a themed restaurant so... sue me. Gimme a surf board on the wall and play The Beach Boys. The prices suck. It's really expensive for the flavor. Plus, a to-go surcharge is realllllly dumb and unnecessary. My $13 burrito cost $18 out the door. And I ordered one of the cheapest things on the menu because, obviously I'm very financially stable. Portions were huge. Enough to eat for lunch the next day (yes, cheap Queen, yes). But overall nothing blew me away. The herdez jar salsa style cup they served with the burrito was really underwhelming. But if you love jar salsa for Super Bowl parties, go hard my king. The only thing I was super into on the plate was the roasted red salsa side they gave me. I wish I had way more of that and less of everything else. Like a spoon and that salsa and take all my money. Staff was nice. Idk. That's all. Idk if I'd be back, to be honest. Nothing made me go "ah, I can't wait to come get this again." And I don't think I'd return to look at more wall surfboards. In summary- White people Mexican food. Perfect for tourists that love chipotle.
