Location on Madonna is closed now. Never got to try it, never will. They should at least update it online to show that they are closed permanently

Tahoe Joe's steakhouse has good quality sticks. You also have to try the railroad camp shrimp! It's an appetizer and a good salad combo. The ski jump Joe chocolate cake slices are huge! The restaurant has been here for about two decades now and they have done a good job with upkeep - however it doesn't look brand new. They also came out with some new rules that are definitely worth trying

Got the Nebraska 20 ounce cut and it's enough for two more meals! The only problem was that our waitress, Kassandra, said they don't do the topping tray for the baked potato and we really missed that because it added a personal touch to the meal. The people next to us had a waiter that did that for them, so that was a downer for us because it turned out our waitress chose not to! And they did my husband's baked potato wrong to boot! Oh well. Hopefully, TJs will read this and we will know to request a server that offers it next time.

My husband and celebrated our 47th anniversary tonight. Our server, Olivia, was so pleasant and cheerful. She made our evening so special. We had a wonderful meal, as always. Tahoe Joe's in San Luis Obispo is our go to Steakhouse!

I love this place but the service since COVID-19 is questionable, i would recommend coming in if theres a female bartender or server, the men here are clueless and walking around like they don't know what there doing. The Bakersfield location is better forsure. Sucks i really liked this place im just going to have to come in when better service is present.

Ate in the bar for their happy hour menu. You can also order from the lunch menu. The Campfire Shrimp is just so tasty. 5 tempura shrimp on a bed of lettuce with a sweet sauce and peanuts and a side of sweet spicy garlic dipping sauce. My go to. 2 Pastrami Sliders on sourdough rolls, light mayo and served with au jus. Really good. I usually like to order appetizers here, many choices and their prices are perfect. Best among other restaurants. THEY HAVE CLOSED NOW. BUMMER!!!

GHOST TOWN? It's no wonder why. After over a year of avoiding restaurants, I decided to take my wife out to dinner. We were looking forward to a great meal and good customer service so we went with what we knew...Tahoe Joe's. HUGE mistake. First of all, the menus have not been updated. There are some things on the menu they no longer serve and things that aren't on the menu that they still serve. You plan your order based on the menu only to find that what you wanted is no longer available even though it's still on the menu. We ordered two appetizers along with a Mai Tai for my wife. When our appetizers came we immediately put in our dinner order. I ordered a burger and my wife ordered prime rib. Our server never checked with us to ask how everything was. We had several servers walk by us as our plates and empty glasses stacked up. Our meals finally came and our server asked if we needed anything else. I ordered a second Mai Tai for my wife and we proceeded to eat our meal. The quality of the beef was horrible! Way below average. Not the Tahoe Joe's I remember. My wife was unable to eat her meal. I powered through mine but at $32.99 I wasn't going to let things go on my wife's meal. Our server (Rachel) came by to tell us that my wife's drink would take a while because they were understaffed. (Mind you, there were only about 6 tables with customers. I watched as many of the servers were congregated chatting among each other and not making eye-contact with the patrons). While our server was still at our table, I had my wife tell her about her meal. She said she would get the manager. The manager, Jason, came by. We explained the situation. We also told him we were done with what we could eat of our meals and my wife's second drink had still not arrived. At this point, she didn't want it anymore. We were ready to leave. He said he would comp my wife's meal and take off the second drink. He never really seemed to care one way or the other. Just went through the motions. Once my wife's meal was comped, out total was $61.66 for a less than pleasant meal. I never complained that the portions were smaller and the prices were higher. There was never an apology for the lack of service. Being short staffed is one thing but when you only have 6 tables to serve (all small parties of 4 or less patrons) and a patron sees staff standing by just chatting among each other, that not being short staffed. That is simply being negligent. This is not the way to regain your customers. Especially your locals who come back time and time again. It used to be that if there was a complaint, your meal would be comped and then to show they truly cared about keeping your business, they would offer you a free dessert or at least a coupon for your next meal. They should have comped the meal but, they should have also tried to right a wrong by offering a gift of gratitude that would bring us back. Instead they chose to do the bare minimum. Food was good, prices are normal for a steak house. Service was not up to par. This may be due to covid.

The food is amazing but for a good meal it is going to cost a pretty penny. Most meals are 20 dollars so I would not recommend going here every day. The customer service is amazing along with the food. The only thing that got me was the prices.

Our bill was over $100 for 3 people. Food was decent but the service was not. Hardly any customers but our service was sub par. Have given this place a chance coming back every time we’re in the area about once a year. Always the same result. Empty, yet slow inefficient service. Still waiting for a water refill.

Worst service I have had. I am hoping it is because they just reopened for in person seating. The food came out as steaks a salad at the same time, soup later when we asked 3 times, and nachos last. None of the steaks arrived at the same time so we couldn't eat together. The food tasted good and the people were genuinely embarrassed by how bad the service was.

Unfortunately we left after not being seated for 5 minutes even though it looked like a lady supervisor and a waitress walked towards us but went and talked in the corner to talk to each other instead. We made direct eye contact ready to try this place out and it felt like we were intruding on their gossip. We walked out and they just stared. This was at 9pm and they closed at 11 on a Saturday night. Please be nice to potential customers. We were visiting and wanted to try this place out after a nice day. You clearly saw us and and chose to ignore us, check your cameras.
