My husband and I stopped here on our way back from Big Sur. It looked like a super cool place that allowed dogs. The owner Steven opened up and immediately welcomed our pups (and us). Steven is super chill and really fun to chat with, and we had such a great time we decided to stick around Pismo Beach for the night. We spent most of the day and night at The Boardroom playing darts, making friends, and having a total blast. The beer is delicious and most patrons are there to kick back and have a good time. People of all ages seemed at ease and it was clear how beloved Steven was in town. Thanks for teaching me how to stop throwing darts "like a sissy dinosaur" haha! We will 10000% be going to Pismo again so we can go to this bar!

My husband and I stopped in today to check the place out. Their beer selection is fantastic and the bartender was helpful and friendly. You can definitely cozy up and watch a game here as well. I don't drink much anymore so I had a Diet Coke. Wish they had at least one non alcohol beer. We would have spent more money. Food menu looks delicious and the owners seemed friendly. Definitely a spot we will come back to when we are in town! Dog friendly and clean bathrooms are also a big plus for those wondering!

Justin was our server, he makes you feel welcome. Had the brown ale, delicious. Taco Tuesday starts at 3.30-4pm. Would recommend. Younger crowd but fun, sports bar.

Every year when we visit we always go here. The owner is a great guy and I like his attitude. People are friendly here

Great environment. Definitely a locals bar. One of the few bars who showed the football game so that was a plus. Steve the bartender/server/ etc was great. He was a one man show and never wrote anything down lol. I had the boardroom burger with a salad which were both great. I wish they had fries on the menu but aside from that everything was great. Would recommend and return again.

All i can say is the owner, Steve, is one unique individual. But clearly my sarcastic, snarky, facetious brother from another mother. If you have any doubt, read his replies to some of his Yelp critics. This is a locals bar. If you expected to get the exalted treatment of a visiting king or queen from tourist land, you will quickly get your come uppance with a pleasant, "don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out!" It was our first visit to Steve's domain. There is a casual atmosphere which includes many of man's best friends. The beer selection is not huge but is a very select group that are either local brewers or otherwise hard to find taps. There is also a selection of good wines and ciders and seltzer. Steve's business partner mans the kitchen. This is a bar, not a Michelin wanna be, so expect some good bar grub. We had chicken strips followed by a flat bread pizza. They paired well with a frosty beer while watching college football on one of a half dozen TV's. But forget the beer & pizza. Just being in Steve's company was pure entertainment. No wonder people keep coming back for more.

Decent bar near the Pier. The other bar was too packed and not much choices that open late at night.

Great locals hangout. Order food if your REALLY needing some but beer is great friendly staff and locals are welcoming. Prepare for a good time.

Fun bar w/ locals and out of town peeps. Games that everyone challenges themselves and each other. Food was available until pretty late. Closed at 1am on a Friday night. Not crowded. But full. Staff was friendly and fun. Fun vibes w/ our large group that came in.

Great and lively environment, everyone was having a great time. Bartender knew his beer selection well and was able to guide us to some awesome beers. Food wasn't bad either! Make sure to try the huge wiener, my cousin really enjoyed it.

What a GEM!!! We're here on vacation and The Boardroom made our very first day a huge success! Patrons were so nice and staff was incredibly friendly to us and our doggo. We will be returning tomorrow for day two of vacation!

Such a super fun place. The people were genuinely nice and so patient. There is a large selection on tap which was a great surprise. There was no pressure to finish your game's quickly, we were able to just enjoy our time and not feel rushed. There is a lot of fried food options, so the places smells delicious.

After seeing this on line, we came here for lunch & some drinks. Our waiter was very friendly & attentive. The Cubano is one of the best with ham, bacon, turkey with swiss, pickles & mustard on a panini roll. The salad is pretty good with mixed greens & blue cheese dressing. The brown ale that I had was wonderful as was the imperial stout with its chocolaty toffy notes. My mother & sister enjoyed their beer & burgers. This place is a local bar with a lot of local flavor; it was quiet when we first arrived, but got louder with some colorful yet nice people as the day went on. I definitely intend to come back & try more food & beer alike & get to know some locals. So, for a local bar experience wityh friendly service at reasonable prices in a casual atmosphere, Bord Room cannot be beat. Keep up the good work guys.

Great little place near the water! No hard alcohol but a few nice selections of beer. Only rated a 4 because the music was super low and I didn't recognize any of it. Bartender was very nice and was very tentative Will return!

Got there an hour or so before closing time and ordered the "Tree Hugger" along with a couple of cider drinks. Pretty good selection and it seems to be a very popular facility. We enjoyed our time there and the service was decent. Good place, overall and the prices are what you'd expect from a place like this. I'd say give it a try and see for yourselves.
