Hector, who I believe to be is a Manager would not provide me with a drink holder as I asked very nicely for. It was for my chocolate milkshake that I was afraid was going to spill. This is a very nice community, and I come to habit very often and he could not even provide me with a drink holder after I said please. He told me I needed to purchase more than one drink. Thanks Hector appreciate the hospitality.

It's 47 degrees out right now and it's about to get even more treacherous. I just ordered from the so called "fine establishment", The Habit Burger Grill. To start, I ordered 1 order of sweet potato fries. Obviously that wouldn't be enough for a complete meal, but with their outstandingly outrageous pricing on their items, I was forced to try my luck on a chicken bite. BEYOND BUMMED. I got one singular nugget. They really meant chicken BITE. I do not take this shit lightly. I was already having a rough day filled with sadness, death, and agony. This is so not what I needed. I'm going to get personal with you now and I feel like you guys know where I'm going with this. As far as the service goes, he said something to me at the end I just can't remember what it was. As far as the ambiance, vibes were good enough to keep me here for quite some time. In conclusion, if you have any questions ask away (805) 329-1591

Last, Saturday, I ordered a Santa Barabara Charburger and sweet potato fries. I specifically stated NO TOMATOES (I am allergic to tomatoes). They put tomatoes on the burger (the juice alone will make me sick). Plus, they didn't put avocados on the burger. The sweet potato fries were cold and hard. I won't be back.

First things first, I ordered dinner for 4 from the kiosk and sat down and waited for my food, and saw an order of fries just sitting there... And sitting there... And sitting there... Then 10 minutes later, when my food was done, I saw the lady bagging the food grab the Cold, dead fries and stick them in my bag. My buzzer went off and I walked up, and I immediately opened one of the two bags of food, handed her the fries and said " I want fresh hot french fries" and with zero hesitation, she took them back and told the cooks to make fries. What bothers me about that is I'm paying for the convenience to have my food cooked for me. She knew they were cold and dead which is why she didn't even check the temperature. She was perfectly willing to hand me an order with fries she knew we weren't acceptable. It's clear she was hoping I had not noticed them sitting there since I walked in the door, and would just take my food and leave. On the kiosk, I said the food was to be eaten there, yet she packed it to go. It's now about 8:05 PM and they are mopping the floors and using chairs to block off the section that leads to the bathroom, and they all stood around and stared at us while we ate our food. Clearly they were wanting to close early even though we were under the impression that they were open until 10 PM because that's what the website and the front door Says. They never vocalized they were closing, but they made it clear that they wanted to. One of the cooks even began to start singing while he cleaned the stove. It was really annoying and rather unpleasant to try to hold a conversation with my family. We sort of felt like unwanted guests at somebody's house. It was so unprofessional and tacky. Like a mechanics garage in Compton or East LA. It was so weird that he was belting out songs and weird noises while we're trying to eat. Last, but not least, is the tipping culture. I order my food at the kiosk, they try to pass me off a large order of cold dead fries yet the kiosk asked me for an 18%, 20%, 22% tip... For fast food... Listen, habit burger, if you're gonna have the nerve to ask me for a tip at a kiosk, you better make sure my food is on point. Not cold, dead fries that have been sitting there since I walked in the door, I said no onions on two of the burgers yet they all had onions, I said, no tomato on one of the burgers yet it had tomato and the teriyaki chicken sandwich didn't have any teriyaki sauce on it. Could you imagine how enraged I would be had I actually been stupid enough to tip?

For a "burger joint", this locally grown shop (started in Santa Barbara, from what I can see), this takes junky burgers up several blotches into fast dining. I ordered a grilled chicken sand. Not disappointing, and honestly good enough to stop and leave a review. Delicious for under $10. Comer of Higuera and Chorro.

Burger excellent. We have ordered it remotely with a text notification. We got the text and immediately went to pick up our food. Unfortunately the food was just barely warm. Perhaps if we ordered it at the counter the experience would be better.

Dont get the crispy chicken sandwich or yam fries, waited 20 mins and $20 later for a bad chicken burger (didnt know there was such a thing) with coleslaw that tasted like glue and tasteless undercooked yam fries. Very disappointing as had heard and was expecting great things.

First time to the visit The Habit. There are a number of different types of burgers, but I ordered the standard cheeseburger (Charburger w/cheese) meal to get a feel for their product. The burger was great. It tasted fresh and was grilled just right. The fries were very good, light and crispy. I liked this place. I thought the burger was perhaps the best I've had in the North County. Try the fries and you'll never order In'n'Out fries again! The staff was friendly and the place was clean. Prices were what you'd expect during Bidenomics, but I'd say worth it. If I want a fast food burger I'll pay for The Habit. PS They have a "hot pepper bar" which is excellent for those of us who like the heat. I'll be back.

I got a bacon char-burger with everything on it. The burger itself was okay but the buns ruined it. They had the cheap taste and texture like store-bought buns from a supermarket like Vons, etc. You'd think that in a place that calls themselves a "grill", the buns would go on the grill as well, so their temperature wouldn't clash with the burger but nope. The buns were basically cold. The onion rings were too salty and the portion size was ridiculous - like a freaking kid's meal. I also witnessed a worker berate a customer who'd stood a little too close inside the separated part of the counter where employees walk in and out. Yes, the customer overstepped a little bit (pun not intended). But it didn't warrant him being talked down to in a loud, belligerent way by the employee. There's an old saying which goes, "You never get a second chance to make a first impression". Accordingly, I won't be back. Whoever is the person in charge of this account, no need to reach out to me - I won't be receptive to it.

Stopped by late evening on the walk back to our stay and ordered from the kiosk inside. It seemed fairly busy for closing within 30 minutes, but the staff was hustling to fulfill last minute orders.

Nobody would wait on me, had to use kiosk, which always grosses me out. Every table was dirty. Had to get someone to wipe table. ( they gave it a swipe)Vegetarian options: They had several saladsWheelchair accessibility: Because the kiosk take up so much room, the wheelchair accessible cut in half

One of the managers at this restaurant is horrible. She had gotten in someone’s face a while back. I went to go pickup my order and she responded rudely and refused to hand me over my order.
