Nice staff and such an awesome addition to Kaiser. My husband was recovering from surgery and hungry, having Duke's there is so convenient so you dont have to leave! Everything we got was very good :)

I definitely overpaid for this drink, but I wanted to give it a chance. Customer service is all right. I'm supporting Kaiser because I've been a patient for almost 2 decades. But this drink...yeah, it tastes really sour. Either the milk is bad or the matcha flavor is off. I noticed they use a powder, which looked really light in color.I didn't specify whether I wanted it hot or iced, so they defaulted to hot, which I should have stuck with. Because maybe the iced version tastes less intense. Plus, it's nippy. And this cup definitely doesn't feel like 16 oz., but it could be today's economy ripping us all off.During the wait, they gave me a Hershey's kiss, and they did thank me for the tip, so I hope they appreciate my honest review and patronage.Anyway, I'm better off going to the green tea place in Little Tokyo for actual matcha matcha. All in all, a disappointing experience, but that's okay. I hope finishing this drink doesn't give me food poisoning though...UPDATE: Uh...their system was down, so it was cash only. They really do need to upgrade their service!

This is my go to place, they catered my business event, and Thanksgiving, they have great food and a great staff.

Aloha, Super tasty! From my understanding, it's one of their less sweet drinks (especially compared to the frappes). I still thought it was overly sweet. Still a great mini coffee cart with a refreshing, Hawaiian kick in each drink. Will try and ask for less sweetness next time if possible. The lady running the cart is chill and will answer any questions you have.

Riddle me this: a large iced tea costs $3. A large lemonade cost $3. How much does a large Arnold Palmer cost? According to dukes $4. According to Starbucks the same price as a lemonade or an iced tea in the same cup. Which is $3.75. The takeaway? Go to Starbucks because Dukes will nickel and dime for no reason and THE ICED TEA ISNT FRESH BREWED! It tastes like instant tea powder. Disgusting. No I do not recommend

We absolutely fell in love with this place. I got the ruben and my man got the cuban. It was amazing. We liked to try new food each day, but kept finding ourselves coming back to this homestyle deli. SO GOOD!

The dark haired female worker this morning on June 9th decided to engage in a flirtatious long conversation with a painter named Raul. I waited patiently while they exchanged names. I was due back to work since we only get a few minutes so I said "sorry to interrupt your conversation" since she was not serving him or anything and no other customers were there. He apologized and was nice. The Dukes employee did not apologize and was not nice and said to me "why do you even come here if you only have a few minutes", as asked her to repeat what she said so I understood and she repeated the same thing in a rude manner and tone. I left without purchasing the daily coffee I have been purchasing for five years. She should be fired for her lack of professionalism in flirting, rudeness and making the only customer wait.

I'd go 3.5 but I'll round up because the girls at the counter are usually pretty friendly and always remember my order. The drinks here are priced reasonably, however they can be hit or miss on taste. The food items are same except overpriced. I have had some tasty baked goods and I like the salads. I have yet to try the sandwiches or açaí bowls but all In all happy to have this place here

We received a 2 for 1 coupon in the mail and having lived in Hawai'i for many years, decided to give Duke's a try. It is not easy to find but despite this, we did manage to find it and the small cafe was okay, with some Hawaiian artifacts around. he staff was friendly and explained in detail the coffee and history. We ordered the regular brewed coffe and while the price was okay, the coffee was not good. We do not recommend this place to anyone who is familar with Hawaiian coffee. For really good coffee from Hawai'i, order from Lion or some other coffee from the islands and have it shipped to you, We never tried the location inside Kaiser San Marcos but since we did not like the coffee at the Los Vallecitos location, we did not see any reason to try the other location. Again, if you are a fan of, or familiar with Hawaiian coffee- avoid this place, The coffee tastes like dirt, very sorry to report- but for anyone who might wish to know exactly what we did not like about the coffee.
