With such high reviews i had to try this restaurant ! What a disappointment ! Went to get a culinary experience, reconnect with my Italian vacations but instead i got a trip to the local Italian American dinner. Over priced, cheap decor, i just don’t understand how this restaurant gets so many high caliber reviews.I have to render to Cesar, the service was irreproachable.

Wanted to try a new Italian place and came across this restaurant. After reading about the chef I was excited to try it. Was hoping for a traditional Italian menu and preparation. Honestly one of the four people really enjoyed their meal - the other three of us felt it was just ok. Personally I was pretty disappointed in the tortellini di aragoata. The sauce was overpowering, the pasta was heavy, the lobster was dry and the shrimp was overcooked. The appetizers and salad were ok - some of us had nits about some of those items too.Service was wonderful. Good people. Location in a strip mall was just ok. The owner did what he could with the space he has, but it’s nothing to get excited about.I guess it’s an ok place if you live near by. But we drove to San Marcos with a certain expectation and sadly it was just an ok experience.

My daughter and I ordered takeout from this place for the first time tonight and we were not disappointed. Everything was very tasty. We tried the Polenta Funghi, the Pollo Parmigiana, Caprese Salad, and Risotto Funghi. Everything was very fresh and flavorful. We didn't even think to take pictures! We'll definitely be going back to try other dishes.
