I just wanted to share my experience at Vera Cruz Fish House in Temecula. My family and I went there for my husband's birthday and got seated fairly quickly. We ordered the crab and artichoke dip, which were actually pretty good. When our food came out, it looked presentable and pretty until we started to cut into it. The salmon was flaky on the ends, but once you got close to the middle, it was completely raw. The waiter told us that's how the salmon is cooked here: raw. If I wanted raw salmon, I would go get sushi. They offered to cook us another one, which they did, and it did come out a lot better. Still pretty fleshy pink in the middle, but not anywhere as bad as before. We also ordered the Surf n Turf, and right when I cut into the lobster, I could tell it was not going to be good. The lobster tail was super tough and flavorless. The steak, my husband said, was pretty good. My family and I are very kind to the waiter, and we only told him about the fish and not the lobster. They didn’t offer to give us a discount, comp the dessert, or anything. They just didn’t care to make it up to us. I don't know if they are hurting business or not. I used to be a waitress, and I would have told my manager I was going to offer them a free dessert to try and make a good impression, but this staff did not care. The waiter even seemed over it after we showed him the raw fish. It was like he thought he was going to get a bad tip, so why even try? That was the impression I got. I always see a ton of cars at this restaurant and couldn't wait to try them as I just moved out here from Oceanside, but I can confidently say I will not be coming back to this restaurant.

Came in for a bowl of clam chowder. The portion was massive, however when I got home and sat down to enjoy my meal realized halfway through zero clams!! How can you charge someone for a bowl of clam chowder that has no clams, would not

We always love Dish House Vera Cruz...the fish is fresh and delicious...and they have the BEST clam chowder around!!! It isn't cheap, but worth it for a fantastic fresh fish meal!

Lovely server, food very disappointing. Shrimp was a bit rubbery, fish dry. Potatoes tasted like a box mix. Ate here about 4 yrs ago and fish was delicious. Not anymore.

Celebrated my husband's 75th! We both love the food......I always get the Alaskan Halibut. He gets the skewer of a variety of seafood. When we choose to go out for seafood, we know we will get quality at Fish House Vera Cruz!

We were out and about and decided eating lunch OUT was appropriate. Hadn't done much of that since covid AND haven't been to Fish House Vera Cruz since before covid so made sense. We were not disappointed. Each Fish dish we chose was great, love choosing my sides. Was busy but not overcrowded. Will be back. Miss the store that was once near the front door.

Smoked Albacore still had good amount of scales and it was very dry. The restaurant was busy, and felt that server was rushing through everything when taking order or bringing food

We were seated at a table for 4 with cutlery and napkin and placemat for 2. They were out of 2 choices of beer. 3 meals were served with the fourth one being 15 minutes later. Food was average. Fish tacos barely had fish.

Always good food and good service. Thanks to OpenTable our reservations saved us a wait on Valentine's Day. Their seafood is fantastic. My wife doesn't eat fish but loves their pasta salad. Would highly recommend the restaurant.
