There are two occasions that I have been to that restaurant, the truth is that the employees are not friendly and I ordered a fried mojarra, it was not well cooked and the tacos were very cold.

Campechana is fresh and tasty. Onions, avocados, cucumbers, fresh tomatoes, mixing with shrimps, octopus, and scallops, I can enjoy every bite of different ingredients from each spoonful. Color likes Frida's painting, rich and bright, and brings a desire from your taste buds. Quesa Burris Taco is also a wonderful dish, though oily. Taken a waitress suggestion, ordered the one with cheese. The cheese smoothes the sharpness from short rib seasonings and juiciness. Overall, it is a wonderful experience of Mexicana cuisine.

Fantastic little sit down restaurant with take out option. Very authentic Mexican foods and flavors. Chilaquiles was amazing with red sauce. You can have chicken and or eggs and choice of red or green sauce. Traditionally decorated with Mexican music playing. The service was very friendly, a bit slow but worth the wait for the food. Serve several sea food items. Has a bar on one side of Restraunt. Good prices too!!

The food is good. And I try to like this place because of the location. But every time I'm told 20-25 minutes for a call in order for 2-3 meals it ends up being close to an hour before the food is ready

This was our favorite place at least once a week. Boy what a difference since they have new owner! The food is 3/10 on a good day. We have tried many time to give them a chance. No luck. It is really not good food in general except,the chips and salsa. The service o is super slow even with only one ot two tables full at lunchtime. It would give it 1-2 stars at best. Sad how it has changed. Cannot go back again

Continue to be disappointed in this place. The food is good but their service is just awful. Painfully slow. Drinks should come out super quickly but it never does. We had to wait 15 minutes for water and had to go back up to ask for it. There's no way you could ever get a second drink either. Do not be in a rush if you go here.
Came here today and what a bad experience it was. The server told us to seat ourselves and she will be right with us. We were sitting and waiting a good 10 minutes before she came to bring us menus. After a couple of minutes she came back and asked what we would like to drink and if we are ready to order. So we do and we get quesabirria tacos, a veggie burrito and kids chicken rolled tacos with fries. So we wait and we wait and after 30 minutes we asked someone to go and check on our food. He comes back and says our food is coming out right now, the server at the same time comes out and says our food is being made now. Ok confused? Then we received the food and they give my husband MINI quesabirria tacos and my son beef rolled tacos. The server comes out and she apologized about the mini tacos and she said she would charge us happy hour price. When I asked her if it was beef or chicken in the tacos she said she doesn't know, and I told her she gave us beef instead than chicken and she goes Oh! You want me to make you new one? But my son was frustrated so we just left. Like I get it you are understaffed and whatnot but at the time we got our food there were 2 2 tops and out party of 3, so get you act together. Obviously we will avoid this place if we are ever in San Marcos again. Terrible experience

This is the first time we've been back here since they added the second room. It's definitely been upgraded to a classier feel, it isn't just another taco shop anymore. They've also expanded the menu. There are some interesting looking entrees now, aside from the tacos and burritos. I'll have to try one next time! I came here with tacos on my mind, so that's what I stuck with. I had a fish taco, which was as good as I remember (with a huge piece of fish!) and a quesabirria taco, which also was excellent. Josue was our server and was very pleasant and attentive. I should also mention the prices are reasonable, especially considering that they just did a significant remodel. We'll definitely be back, this is definitely my favorite Mexican restaurant in the area!
