Very impressive first visit. From the Host , server, the meal all exceptional. Menu more interesting and than expected. Of course the quality of the beef for their hamburgers is exceptional!

I can understand why this place has such low ratings. The only reason I bothered coming here was because I had received a gift card for this place through a giveaway in which they partnered with an influencer. The bill came out to $50 for a tiny burger, a broccoli & cheese sandwich, and fries. BUT I had a gift card so I didn't care. However, when it came to paying said bill with the gift card code, they wouldn't honor it. Our waiter was very kind, but the manager was awful. She just looked at us and was like it doesn't work, I don't know and just walked away and that was that. USELESS. I didn't want to waste more of my night here so I just paid with my credit card. What a waste of time and money. There are so many other places in San Mateo that I would've rather gone to had I known I was going to actually be paying out of pocket. Never coming back - go spend your money somewhere else. San Mateo has so many great options, don't waste your time and money here.

Came here for a last minute lunch date and I'm so excited we did. I had seen a lot of people post about this place and I've been trying to make my way over. One thing I love is there is lots of parking being they are in Hillsdale Mall on the outside expansion area by the Apple Store / Lululemon. We walked in and were greeted right away. The menu had a great selection & we decided to get two different things and split it to be able to try both items. The menu also had a decent amount of KETO options! So this is the perfect place for people who are on KETO. We got the BELCAMPO Burger & the Chicken Avocado Sando! We also ordered the fries and sweet potato fries both were perfect! I highly recommend trying both. The only thing I wasn't a huge fan of was the "KETO" ketchup.. I think they should have another option just incase people wanted regular ketchup.. but other then that everything was wonderful. The staff was really friendly and attentive. I can't wait to bring back my hubby.

This is the worst restaurant experience ever. Ordered Cobb salad and we found out that the eggs (with salad) are prepackaged so you get the boiled eggs as they come. We had one order with eggs cooked well but the second order the eggs were soft boiled and slimy. Burgers were all burnt, over cooked. Didn't even have ranch dressing for the salads. Ordered hot tea with honey and the honey is diluted with water. Will never come back here again. No wonder this place was empty. Save your money.. Go elsewhere.

The keto brownie is worth coming back for over and over and over! Satay salad was not up to par.

Philly cheesesteak ($16): 5/5 Steak & carrots ($35): 3/5 Philly cheesesteak was delish. Ordered steak rare, it was slightly overcooked, dry and a little tough. All moisture was from the sauces on top, the meat itself didn't have the juiciness factor I love in rare steaks. Carrots were good. With the sauce, they reminded me of roasted sweet potato, cept a little firmer and less starchy. Very keto-friendly menu. Food took a long time. Nice dining areas, both indoors and outdoors. Service: 5/5 Ordering is via qr code, and they tack on a $1 fee for the privilege. Will not order steak here again, since the kitchen's steak cooking skills ain't there.

The French fries were absolutely amazing! My friend liked her burger. I had a steak salad and it was pretty good. I think I will get the burger next time. My friend had the gyro plate and it was only OK, a little watery.

Second time coming here I always like the option to sit inside or outside. My son loves the double fast cheeseburger with bacon and animal fat fries. I love the burger too but this time I got the special of the day which was a big brisket tacos good stuff, my wife had the Popular Superman Salad. The root beer floats are a must have as it's the first thing we get. Service is always great ! Andre was our sever, couldn't ask for more.

Solid alfresco dining, however, the QR code menu ordering system was a bit challenging as the menu is rather large. If you had not prepped beforehand, it is a lot of scrolling ;( An older senior couple next to us, we noticed, were struggling, and eventually left. Super unfortunate. Okay, well, I read up on the reviews and was also prepared for a less than stellar visit, however, with such low expectations, ended up satisfied;) We both had dogs (beagles), so we ate on the dog friendly patio after I made reservations for Sunday Brunch (15Aug21) via OpenTable. Saving grace that this restaurant is located AWAY from all the main big ones across the driveway (Shake Shack, Palette Tea House, Pinstripes, and the entrance to the food court). Quiet and cool with tons of shade provided by West Elm, whew. I know 78° is considered cool in some places, however, with all the concrete at Hillsdale Mall, it was a tad warm. We ordered the: Belcampo Burger $18.00: 1/2 LB Grass-Fed & Finished 28 Day Dry-Aged Belcampo Beef, White Cheddar, Caramelized Onion, Butter Lettuce, House Sauce. Served on a Brioche Bun. With Bacon $3 - Deeelicious and Chicken Satay Salad $20.00: Grilled and Marinated Belcampo Pasture Raised Chicken, Roasted Peanuts, Carrots, Cucumbers, Cherry Tomatoes, Gem Lettuce, Shaved Cabbage, Peanut Dressing - perfectly dressed and generous portion. Great service as the cute and friendly hostess happily gushed over the pair of our well-behaved beagles bringing out a large bowl of water for them to share ;) Thank you so much! It is a bit pricey, however, the setting was delightful and food tasted well-made. Looking forward to coming back and trying other items on the menu.

man, i so wanted to love this place since i am a big fan and proponent of grass-fed beef/lamb and pasture-raised chicken/eggs. unfortunately i was massively let down! i came here with my aunt and got the beef tartare. she got a burger that was unfortunately served so overcooked she had to send it back. the next one was just ok. despite that experience, a week or so later i decided i wanted to try a burger so i ordered the keto burger for takeout. not only was i shocked by the exorbitant price-- $21, not even including fries or anything-- but it was grossly overcooked (i ordered rare and got medium well at best). i was so annoyed by this experience, especially since i wasn't able to send it back and it was the second time they had overcooked a burger, that i called and wrote in to complain. it's been two weeks and i still have not received a response. needless to say i am extremely disappointed.

Visited Belcampo last night and had a very unpleasant experience. My family and I arrived for dinner around 7pm and saw it was a slow Friday evening. Just a few tables seated prior to us and got seated right away. Our server was friendly and advised us to scan the code for the menu and realized that he would not be taking our order, but instead would be would place our order online via their website. This was already a turn off for me as we wouldn't have even known this is what we were supposed to do until we overheard another party close by having issues with their order and the kitchen didn't receive it. While we were listening, quite a few other tables got seated too. So we put our order in and after a while, noticed all of the tables that were seated after us received their beverages already. I asked our server to see what was going on and he said he'd check on it. Never came back and I went up to him again and said that we haven't even received our drinks! He said he checked on it and but only the kitchen items and apparently the bar had misplaced our ticket for drinks. So drinks eventually came out and our food pretty much arrived at the same time. I ordered the Cobb salad, my husband ordered a burger with fries, and ordered a grilled cheese kids meal with an apple for our little one. For a $20 Cobb and $18.50 burger, I would definitely not recommend this place. Overpriced for low quality food. We also ordered jalapeños on the side with my husband's burger which was an extra charge, but never came out with his burger. Asked the server and after 10 minutes of waiting, someone comes out to tell us they're out of jalapeños and that they only have really spicy Thai chilis. Left this place completely unhappy with 1) our meal and 2) experience. No one even apologized about the drinks coming out so late. I also just checked the online receipt for this mobile ordering website and looks like we were even charged a fee for using the app! So we paid a tip for mediocre service on top of having to pay a fee for this ordering tool. I would have rather had better personalized service than pay this fee for someone to just take out our food. Won't be returning here again!

Came by here while at Hillsdale mall. Seating outside was super nice and had a nice ambiance so seemed pretty promising. The food was only ok, we ordered the fast burger, the lamb burger, garlic fries and the chicken skewers. The chicken skewers and the lamb burger had good flavor, but the fast burger was closer to a McDonald's or In and Out. Fries were thick cut but didn't have any garlic flavor. Burgers were pretty small in size, and I felt like it wasn't good value for my money. Service and ambiance were all really good, but I wouldn't come here again since I felt like the food wasn't anything special.

Service sucks. This review is not about the food. Because we haven't had it yet. Still here. Not even packed. They don't know anything about tequila. No communication between our waiter and the lady behind the bar. Who just stands there on a laptop. No host. So the lady behind the bar recommend a tequila to my wife. We said ok that one. 10 minutes later the waiter came and asked so what are you having... We looked at each other and like, we had no idea the one that she recommended. So she just ordered a coke... Still waiting for our meal. Go to pinstripe. That was packed. We should have known when we walked in and it was empty at prime time. Stay tuned for the meal review.. so far I want to just leave. Ok just finished. My filet was delicious. My wife's t-bone steak was big and less flavor than mine. Andre was a great guy. Not even our waiter, maybe the owner because he was doing everything. Bringing out the food taking people's desert order. He gained 2 more star's. Cause he was just a great guy. . So original review b4 food was 1 star now 3. Probably won't be back

The food was yummy. Nothing And you're gonna run home about but definitely food worthy of coming back a few times a week. The main reason for the one star review is their service and their wine list. You'd you think that they would have a semi-decent list considering they are a 'steakhouse' (Kinda). Unfortunately the serve grocery store/big brands and mark them up super high. Yikes!

Cool restaurant on the new side of the Hilllsdale mall. I've been twice, and love the outdoor seating. I have a love/hate with the less contact system. I love how you order and pay on your phone so you pace your own meal. However, I also miss having a dedicated server. So far I've tried the philly cheese steak, broccolini melt, fries, and roasted carrots. It's all very tasty and fresh. I would return for any of it. I would like to try a salad as well. My one gripe is it is pricey for a burger and fries. I only took a photo of the broccolini melt because it's hard to find any other photos of it besides the stock photo. I asked to add more broccolini and the manager said it's pretty hefty, doesn't really need more. I trusted her and she was right. They fill it nicely. It can be a little messy, but it really was a great blend of flavors and definitely filling enough the way it comes. I enjoyed it!
