Love this place. There sandwiches are so hood and priced at a reasonable price unlike so many places that charge much more and there sandwiches don't even compare to Golden Ninth Deli. My only issue is that there closed on Sundays and only open to 1:00 on Saturdays which is to earlier for a Saturday which in my opinion should st least stay open until 2:00-3:00. Today(Saturday)I placed an order at 12:50pm and they canceled it so I was extremely disappointed to say the least. I ended up ordering from somewhere else which was decent but way overpriced!!!! $44.00 for 2 sandwiches is robbery but since Golden Ninth canceled my order even though it wasn't 1:00pm was upsetting. Some Ppl don't always each lunch until later in the afternoon!!!! But besides that they have amazing sandwiches!!

Wonderful in all ways. I had two sandwiches shared between my friend and I. Super top quality meats and bread. Excellent service from Izatt on selecting what we should try. We enjoyed the hot pastrami and a turkey bacon avocado on Dutch crunch. Happy to see that the reviews are true! Check it out.

The sandwiches at Golden 9th Deli & Market are delicious and to your liking. Although the food is top notch, what stood out more was their service to their customers. Incredibly welcoming, accommodating and friendly people here. I'll return for their sandwiches, but more so for the nice people inside!

I was looking for a great sandwich place not too far from San Mateo's Central Park. I read about Golden 9th and decided to give it a try. I called in the sandwich order for a 12:15 pick up and when I got there my sandwiches were ready and hot. Super easy process. What a delight it was to open our sandwiches and enjoy them in the park! They were delicious, the meat, cheese and extra portions were plentiful. The bread was quality. I'm very picky about my bread having been raised by a sourdough baker and my hard sourdough roll was just right. Thank you Golden 9th!
I really like their sandwiches. I highly recommend the pastrami on Dutch crunch bread. Also, tuna salad is really good too.

Great service at Golden 9th. The people behind the counter were very nice and customer friendly. Grade: AThe shop was super clean and organized. I really appreciated that aspect. There were so literally hundreds of options for beverages and snacks. Grade: A+The deli side had a few salad options and meats on display. One thing I didn't care for was that the meat was presliced prior to your order. The quality of the meat was still pretty good. Grade: B-The sandwich itself was a nice display of an old school sandwich you would get back in the day. It was a nice sized and flavorful. I wish they did not just microwave the stack of meat and cheese as it was super rubbery from it. The trick Togos and others use is to heat it in water so that it retains its tenderness. For now, my harsh grade stands, but I will have to try it again as a cold sandwich before I write it off completely. Grade: B-/C+I did not try the baked goods from Pacific Baking Company, but the lone item left looked great!Overall grade: B

I highly recommend this deli! Their sandwiches are terrific- made with care and quality ingredients. They do an amazing job with catering labeling each sandwich and will even do half sandwiches so you can mix and match! Their side salads a great too! The location is clean, organized, and spacious. It has a really nice, bright feel when you walk in.

Ordered at the front, walked around a bit to get some snacks and drinks, checked out with my hot pastrami on Dutch w everything in it. Service was quick and nice. Ambiance was like any other deli market combo.Went home and ate that up. Needless to say, I'm a munch for Golden 9th Deli & Market. The Dutch bread was the perfect crispness in the outside without scratching the roof of your mouth and super fluffy on the inside. Getting everything on it is a must for me - vegg and pickles provide needed balance with the salty pastrami. Portions are decent - wish I had a little more meat stacked in but I guess I'll have to try the extra meat option next time.
