Old school, old taste, old recipes. Wanted to dine across the street but restaurant was closed for a private party so 3 of us wandered into Luceti's for dinner. We should have gone home instead. This is cafeteria-style old-school Italian. Recipes have not been updated in 30 years at least. I know some people like that comfort food but things have moved on and improved. Luceti's needs help. Salads were bland. Red leaf lettuce in a green salad becomes wilted and chewy at the same time. Grocery store tomatoes don't help - they are flavorless. Gnocchi with bolognese was a bowl of chewy, doughy glop with that brown sauce you'll remember from grade school. Chicken parmesan was salty and covered in a piece of sliced cheese. Its accompanying pasta was overcooked and covered in Ragu. Steamed broccoli and carrots don't help. Pasta with prawns was sweet and overcooked and again with the "tomatoes" from a grocery. And finally - this is a restaurant charging $30+ per plate. Having a bar maid/manager/drinker shouting across the dining room to some old friends isn't cute, it's rude. There was a table of the owner's friends or family that was obnoxiously loud and unconcerned about others. Just skip this place. It's not worth the money. If they won't modernize their food or menu (4 veal dishes, really?) - they don't deserve the business.

Good food, friendly and professional waiters/waitress. Feel romantic to eat there with my honey.

Really nice, old school. Good food, we ate at the Bar. Jamie was a terrific bartender.

Our server, Stacy, was amazing! So friendly and efficient. We went for our son’s birthday and everything was perfect. And so nice to see Suzy, one of the owners, again. She always takes the time to chat for a few minutes with us. Just a lovely time. Thank you Stacy and Suzy!

What I appreciate is every time we go to Lucite's for either lunch or dinner they have been consistent with the food and service. We have never been disappointed with them.

Good Italian food. Excellent service. Old fashioned table cloths. Elderly clientele. Loud!

I do not recommend this restaurant, especially since there is a top-of-the-line restaurant at the opposite end of the block, La Lanterna.

The food that I've always considered to be good was actually outstanding. In essence, the only downfall was our service was not as good as usual. It was good, but it's stirred up as a little bumpy. We lack for nothing. The waiters were good about keeping our bread basket full. Our cocktails were superb. The value for your money but today's standards was really good. We will go back soon.

I think the first time I came here was a HS dance date in the 1970s when it was Nick's On 25th... my wife and I regularly go to Lucetti's on 25th as it is now known. We went today and the food is still killer Italian / American, service is provided by excellent, professional wait staff, & it's super clean. When the wife is visiting relatives out of town, I can chill at their full bar with a drink & dinner while watching a game. It's old school neighborhood classic - must go if you haven't been yet!!!

We had a 5 o'clock reservation for 7 people for dinner. And as we're being seated, we're told that we had to be out of the table by 6:30 because the table was booked for another party.Poor to ordering or food, we were told they only had 3 orders of scallops. If we were interested, we needed to order now. ( REALLY, they just started the dinner shift). We ordered our dinner at 5:35 and the dinners were delivered at 6:10, leaving all of us 20 minutes to eat and vacate the table. At 6:30, the waitress brought us dessert menus, I mentioned we wouldn't have time since we were required to leave the table. Our v waitress went and asked her manager, and he confirmed we wouldn't have time.We were all disappointed with the arrangements but the waitress was gracious.

I was a little disappointed at first because the server didn't know whether or not the bar had chambord for my lemon drop. That delayed the ordering of our appetizers. The food was excellent but rather pricey.

So so good!! As a NJ native, this is one of the only authentic southern Italian restaurants that i have found in the bay area. You can tell by the quality of staff and menu that this place knows what they are
