The atmosphere here is amazing! There are plenty of seating options (in and outdoor) and the baristas are all accommodating and nice. I didnt purchase anything to eat but their coffee is grade A. Highly recommend ??

Terrible service!Terrible service. The food is not fresh, the owner of the establishment diligently proved that everything was VERY fresh. Although this is old and expired. I don't recommend going there.Coffee that costs $7, drink milk. Apart from Turkish coffee, the rest is disgusting.Pay attention to the service in your cafe!

Service and environmental are good. Latte is terrible and below average but very expensive (close to 7 dollars). worse than Starbucks’s latte is all I can say. Maybe the Turkish coffees are better but haven’t tried. Definitely won’t go there for regular espresso drinks like latte etc. Also they are not aware that it is illegal to charge tax on take out drinks.

I loved the decor, but don't visit on a weekend. Service is incredibly slow, 20 minutes for my Turkish coffee, although the mango mingle came out immediately, so my friend had to wait for me to finish or wait and have a cold coffee. Several groups took too many seats, so there were 3 empty tables with no seats. I'm sure a weekday visit would be much better though. We didn't love the coffees, but the ambiance is really nice. The friend who suggested we visit said you only need to go once and I'd have to agree. 3.5/5.

Sama Coffee Shop offers a unique experience in San Mateo. The decor is beautifully done, transporting you to a traditional Arabic cafe with intricate designs and comfortable seating (though a bit limited). They have a delightful selection of sweets, both traditional ones like baklava, lahmajun, Turkish delights, and more familiar options, like tres leches and milk cake.Highlights-Unique Flavors: Sama's menu is a real adventure. I tried the Black Forest latte, and the combination of chocolate, cherry, and espresso was delicious. The latte art was very well done, so I was hesitant to mix my drink, but please don't make the same mistake as me. Mix your latte so you really enjoy the rich cherry flavor. The Chai Kark was also flavorful and warming, and you could actually taste the spices.Authentic Atmosphere: The decor is well done, creating a relaxed and inviting space.A Few Downsides:Parking: Finding parking can be a challenge, especially during peak hours.Foot Traffic: There's a constant stream of customers coming in for takeout orders, which can make it feel a bit crowded at times, especially considering the limited seating.Overall, Sama Coffee Shop is a great place to grab a unique coffee drink and experience a taste of the Middle East. Just be prepared to navigate the parking situation and a bit of a bustling atmosphere. For the unique flavors and ambiance, I'd give it 4 out of 5 stars.

Went for the first time, staff was terrible. The three girls were rude and kept laughing amongst themselves every time I asked them a question. I Felt very awkward and uncomfortable. I do not recommend this place. Never going again. Not friendly people.

I will definitely be back. It's a cozy cafe with soft chairs inside. I got the Iraqi Tea and it was delicious!! Plus it's served on this gorgeous tea set My only note was that the bread I ordered was cold and hard. It would have been much nicer warmed up. But t everything else was lovely.

The inside is BEAUTIFUL. They def utilized the space the best way they can. Although I'm using this review for the actual coffee. It's prob the worst coffee I ever tasted. How can you have sucha beautiful place w/ TRASH COFFEE. I had the Biscoff latte (it's literally, milk w/ espresso (espresso tasted old) & crumbs of biscoff. 1/5 for effort. My sister had a Gold Digger it was okay nothing different. 2/5 for effort. won't go back again. The 2 stars because inside was beautiful but that was it. Ppl go here for the ambiance not the coffee.
