We were very disappointed to find that our favorite pizza place in the Bay Area became mediocre. We had been coming to Toto’s for 25 years before we moved to Arizona 2 years ago. We came back for a visit and couldn’t wait to stop at Toto’s for dinner. Crust was bland and tasteless and the tomato sauce isn’t nearly as good as it used to be. Overall just an average pizza now. Nothing special. What a terrible shame and a great loss for discerning pizza lovers.

How did I not know that the San Mateo Toto's is CLOSED! Seems it closed in late June and relocated to San Jose, if you can call it relocating. Our favorite Toto's pizza is stil available in Belmont. Phew!

Last night we ordered a pizza, we have been doing so weekly with no issues for quite awhile now. The pizza never arrived, I tried calling but the restaurant was close, no answering machine, nothing. I called this morning because my credit card had been charged and wanted to get it reversed. The manager argued with me trying to tell me the pizza had been delivered, then when we got past that he said I should have called yesterday because he can't reverse it now, as I said I did call. Anyway, now I am stuck calling my credit card company and having the charged removed. The thing that really upset me, well on top of him basically saying I was lying, he didn't even apologize for the pizza not showing up. As much as I do like Toto's pizza, I will never be ordering there again and it really just kind of sucks.

To me, they make one of the best quality pizza's from SF to SJ. 4.5 stars Their SM location seems to be the most generous on the toppings.I always purchase the ex-lg for leftovers the next day.

Anyone who grew up on the Peninsula knows Toto's is the go to pizza place...the quality has not changed from Daly City to San Bruno and now to Belmont and San Mateo.

Best thin crust pizza in the Bay Area. The cheese is extra melty and crust is cooked to perfection. I recommend trying a mushroom and sausage if you can't decide what to try first.
