The BEST DONUTS ever!!! I drive from Wilmington to San Pedro for these even though I live within walking distance from several donut shops. GET THE GLAZED!!! It has the most subtle hint of lemon...I think. These donuts have changed the way I judge all others. All other donuts have this "old oil flavor" that coats the tongue, but not these.

My favorite donut in the South Bay area. The mini glaze donuts are to die for, and the cherry jubilee (is like a cherry glaze instead of ciniman roll) is exquisite. I've catered the mini donuts to birtyday parties and to my job. They are always a crowd favorite.

There's something about California donuts that just hit different. I don't know what it is, but I haven't been to one bad spot. This place was probably one of the better ones we had. My fam and I hit up The Donut bright and early on our way out of LA to drive the PCH. It's an older building with an old school feel to it. Nothing fancy but full of character. We were the only ones in there when we arrived, but you could already see they must've had a surge of people go through because there was slim pickings in the display case. It looks like this is a mom and pop shop because I didn't see a bunch of people working. The nice lady who did help us was super friendly and helpful. Even with inventory low, we all found something we liked along with hot fresh coffee and juices. One person in our party wanted a chocolate croissant but they were out. Everything we had from donuts to breakfast sandwiches were delicious and everyone left happy. What gave this place 5 stars was when we were leaving, the employee brought us a box of fresh goodies including a chocolate croissant since she knew we were going on a long road trip. She did not even charge us! That was above and beyond and completely unexpected. I can see why this place is so highly rated. If I am ever in the area again, I will definitely be back!
