Small place , simple bare bones burger joint and when I ordered I though it was a bit pricey $15 for a burger and onion rings . The beer can burger. But when I started eating it, I felt I got a good deal. The burger was just really good. Maybe not a date not place but no regrets going with a friend and just having yummy food.

I always get DoorDash when ordering from here and it's usually pretty good. Only issue I had with this last order was the two Chicago dogs didn't have a tomato wedge and sport peppers on it. That's just a crime here.

Needed something to eat that delivered to my job not many choice to pick from. The lady taking the phone order excellent. The food was mediocre for me..I order the pastrami sandwich it was just normal nothing special bout it would make me go back an order another one I've had way better from a mom n pop dive or diner. The price was expected due to everyone prices going up thanks to the covid area..dnt base your decision off my review tho..

Good customer service!!! The food was good,had there lunch special $10.99 came with Türkiye bacon avocado sandwich (your chose) Broccoli soup and a large pink lemonade. I actually seen a man come in, asking for there cookies, there was one cookie left, and the owner gave it to him, didn't allow him to pay. What a nice business owner, generous as well. Come support small businesses!

Food and service here were great!Service hands down FANTASTIC! A very sweet gentleman waited on us and was so patient and compassionate towards my guest who has difficulties with speach. That made a world of difference to me.For such a tiny restaurant they have a great selection. The pastrami sandwich was amazing. Super lean meat and a perfect meat to bread ratio. I will definitely visit again soon!

For a menu and a coffee worst service ever and no manager on premises everybody speak Spanish and not very nice at all to people of color... live here 20 years first time in never going back

Was in a food dead zone at the Catalina Air and Sea Express on our way to Avalon as the grill inside the terminal is closed down. Check local places that could deliver and came upon Happy Deli, which delivers through grub hub. First of all, the prices seemed unusually reasonable - that was an amazing surprise....that and the $1.00 delivery fee seemed incredibly inexpensive. The estimated delivery time to my location at the terminal was 40-50 minutes, which is a lot of time for a simple cold turkey avocado bacon sandwich and a drink, and only 1.7 miles away from my location, but it did arrive at the lower time estimate maybe even a few minutes earlier. Very thankful that it did as I was going to board the ferry 15 minutes later regardless if the order showed up. Boy am I glad the sandwich arrived and I got to eat it before I left. That Turkey sandwich was absolutely amazing. It had the advertised avocado (plenty of it), bacon, pickles, banana peppers, lettuce, tomato, provolone and mustard. I requested no mayo so not sure if it comes on it typically or not. The bread was excellent as well. Granted I was starving, but it was so good, I want to come back to the San Pedro to go here again even though I'm not from here.....it's got me thinking of how I can pull that off. Oh and the person who answered the phone when I called to inquire about the status of my order couldn't have been nicer.Now reading some of the reviews after the fact, I can say the good/great ones are spot on.

This place is GREAT!!!A small family owned deli where the food is very good with large portions at a reasonable price.Way better than the sandwich spots in the area. Your food is prepared fresh after you order and you won't be waiting your whole lunch break to get your food.Try it out!!!!
