This place has been around forever..well maybe not forever LOL about forty years. Good food, its cozy, the service is great !! The waitress Sophia puts on a good show good job hun . Unfortunately the place will be closing down in February for good and it will be sadly missed. Word has it that a new restaurant will be coming around the corner. You've been great shin- shins thank you !!?

Total fail...5:45pm on a Tuesday, called in to place a pick up order. Female answered and said I couldn't place a order because they aren't taking anymore orders. Then says they're closed but everywhere I checked says they close at 8pm. Guess I'll never get to taste their food. Pity!

Finally Tried this place out. It was really good. Reminds me of the old Chin's garden on Pacific Avenue. Food tasted good! Would've preferred a little crispier Kung Pao chicken, Orange Chicken was great! service was good a tad slow because there was only one person but she was really really nice :-) can't wait to go back here again.

I ordered a meal to be delivered. The driver took off and when I opened the bag the rice was missing. I called Shin Shin and she would not help at all. No refund, no delivering the missing rice.Totally useless.

We walked in on a Saturday night and we were told that we could only order an appetizer if we wanted to get out in an hour. The place was 1/3 full. Everyone that was seated was waiting for their food. Incredibly understaffed. No idea how the food is. We walked out and went somewhere else.

Used to be a great Chinese restaurant, so sad to see it's gone downhill, and the service too...

Food is not good but its cheap. They need to revise their menu and send their chef off to a refresher course or something to keep up with the times. Ive tried 5 items already on 2 occasions and food is either too sour or too salty or overcooked or had too much flour or sauce just tastes strange. But service was good.

I love Shin Shin Chinese. This place has been in San Pedro for ages. This is my little hitten treasure. When my family and I are craving Chinese this is the spot. The ladies there are very kind and sweet. We always get the orange chicken , green beans and the shrimp fried rice. We will change it up from time to time but it's the best. The decor is a bit old and some things do need to be upgraded but overall it's a A+ to me.

I first came here when I was 14, im 44 now. This Is the standard when it comes to Chinese food. The beef n broccoli, bbq pork ribs, and egg flower soup was very good today.Bring your own bottled water though lol. Prices were good too!

I really like this spot. It's a legit old school Chinese restaurant that you can go and sit down at, not like a lot of what Chinese restaurants have become where it's more fast food or buffet style or you pick what you want and then seating is just tables. This place has very nice booths and it has really good deals on dinner or lunch specials. First time I went me and a friend did the dinner special where it was like $15 and some change per person You got a bunch of appetizers and then you each got to pick a dinner entree came with soup even. Last time we went we did lunch came with soup egg roll and entree. Great prices plenty of food. The staff is wonderful, very nice people.

This place closed at 7:30, though their information quite clearly states 8:00. All the person could say when I told her I drove off the hill to come here was "Oh...sorry, kitchen closed".

Love to come in and start with some hot green tea. My family favorites are Paper Wrapped Chicken, Egg Flower soup, Cashew Chicken, Chicken Chow Mein, Fried Wonton, Beef and Broccoli. Nice size family servings.

I have never had a bad meal here. Do not understand all the 1 star reviews? I have got roast duck, pork fried rice, chicken chow mein and shrimp chow mein. Make sure to ask for the red chili sauce, they do not always leave it on the table. Waitress are always friendly here. They accept card cards as payment which is convenient. A San Pedro locals favorite!
