Your standard drive-thru coffee joint, with greater than average selection and quality of food. What makes it exceptional is the pleasant staff. I have never been disappointed in how I was met by the folks at Java Detour.
Nice service staff! Friendly! But some of the worst coffee I had in my life! My friend and I both got lattes. Mine was iced. His hot. I didn't want to complain so didn't say anything after I tried it. About 5 minutes later my friend said "This is some of the worse coffee I ever had! If not THE worse!" Burnt tasting. Bitter.

I so thankful for a quick and convenient drive thru coffee fix in busy downtown San Rafael! The people who I assume are the owners are very attentive and friendly. I like the huge variety of options and I’ll be getting some cold treats for sure once it warms up!
