It has been my favorite sandwich spot, but won't be going there anymore. They clearly do not appreciate customer that spends a lot. I bought 9 sandwiches for about $170, each one having extra meat and avocado. Ordered four number four and five number five. Each being made the same, didn't customize the sandwiches. When my order was ready, I was told next time order on the app or call ahead of time. Clearly they appreciate the $15 customer whole lot more than someone that spends over $100. And when I got home, they had given me all number 5 sandwiches. And for the first time the sandwiches didn't taste as good.

Warm and crusty sourdough rolls are the staple of these tried and true sandwiches. Tasty and comforting on a cold day. Busy, popular place but a short wait. Friendly waitstaff. I recommend this place!

A lovely sandwich shop that offers some tasty subs. I split the Basil Cream Chicken and Roasted Turkey with a friend, and both were delicious! Took them down to SF and ate with a nice view from Alta Plaza park. They have good variety on the menu and it's nice that their "healthy" options are tasty & saucy!

I've been here twice now this week, Monday and today Wednesday. I ordered the chicken cordon bleu sandwich Monday. Honestly I'd have to say I wouldn't order it again but I think my expectation was higher than what the description was. It wasn't a terrible sandwich just didn't float my boat. Today I ordered the Sourdough, roast beef, ham, turkey and Swiss...this was a GOOD sandwich! This place is obviously very popular. It's been packed both times here. The line moves fast though. You order and within a couple of minutes your order is ready. The staff is friendly considering how busy they are. The best thing is this...watching those fresh loaves of bread come out of the oven and smelling it...oh my! The sandwiches are huge. I've only been able to eat half and save the other half for dinner. At an average price of around $11.50 you just can't beat it. Highly recommend and will be returning often. Glad I found a great sandwich spot in San Rafael.

It was a good sandwich. I'd eat it again if I was in the area.4* because it was definitely a better than average sandwich. The fresh bread definitely pushed it up.-1 star because they piled all the meat in the middle and barely any on the edges which...people who make sandwiches should know better by now.Side note to the people of San Rafael...come on...Best sandwiches in the Bay really? You all are going to sit here seriously and claim that with a straight face?

I figured this place was a hidden gem when my co-worker recommended it , he's resided in San Rafael since "97" and knows his city. When I drove up to park this place was active with lots of movement inside. The menu is amazing, something for everybody, vegetarians included. I love me some Dirty Chips. I shall return soon

A great sandwich spot. Gets busy at lunchtime because it's really good, but the wait time is not bad. They really crank out food quickly. The sandwiches are big and satisfying. It's reasonably priced for the amount of food compared to other options in the area. Plenty of parking since many orders are to go, but sometimes need to park on the back street... I always find a spot really close. Be aware that late in the day they may close a little early if they run out of bread... Yeah, it's a thing if they are super busy since it's freshly baked every day.
