You've got to check out this little Hidden Gem. For anybody who has lived in the Marin area, you've probably tried this place and kept it to yourself. From the outside, it is very unassuming. You might even pass it up, but don't. This little Italian star is a must stop place. The authentic Italian cuisine and ample Wine Bar match the elegant decor within. Our server was an older Italian gentleman. He is quiet, direct, and efficient. He made sure we were well taken care of despite how busy things were and never made us feel rushed. My guest and I shared one of the best Caesar salads I have had in a long time. I then had the Tortellini Toscana (Veal & Prosciutto) prosciutto, peas, and cream. Divine! I love the taste of fresh made tortellini. My guest had the lasagna and was impressed with the flavor and texture.Lunchtime is busy, so be prepared. The best part of all is the price. $20 to 35 pp without alcohol.I can't wait to go back and sample many of the other dishes. I promise to get pictures this time.Buon Appetito!

The food here is always on point, with generous portions and delicious flavors. We dine about 1x per 3 months. Wednesday is a great day to visit because all bottled wines are 1/2 price. That's an incredible deal.

Love this place!!! My meal was amazing. Had the special of filet mignon, mushroom risotto and asparagus. The staff is consistently attentive and professional The restaurant is always clean and the decor is really classic

Great vibe reinforced by great staff. The Arancini, and Antipasto were good starters...followed by delicious Pappardelle al Cinghiale, Carbonara, Chicken Marsala, and Braised Beef Short Ribs...all while swilling the Montepulciano D'abruzzo Mascarelli '18 Doc, and the Super Tuscan Antinori Il Bruciato '21 Igt. And the Blueberry Lemon Tiramisu is a fantastic way to finish a fun meal with super close friends.

This place is a mainstay in Marin and yet we hadn't dined there. What a lovely surprise. Our server, Manuel, was attentive and prompt. The food was wonderful. One of the best Caesar salads I have had!!! The menu has something for every palate. We will definitely make this one of our favorite return restaurants.

Have been going to LaToscana for many years now. The food is incredible and over these many years has stayed very consistent. Service is outstanding. They all go above and beyond to make their guests feel like family. I like being part of this family.

Absolutely stellar restaurant. Excellent Italian food, great service and lovely atmosphere. The fritto misto and filet of sole are two of my favorites.

A nice dinner and very good service. My only modest complaint ....I had made a reservation on Open Table for 4:45 PM as it was the only one available until 8PM and the restaurant didn't open until 4PM. I called after 4PM and asked if I could have later reservation and was told no. Yet the restaurant had several tables still available at 6PM when we left.

supa good tasty best Italian food. Service was great and the environment was warm. Bread was also super good with the whipped butter. Sauces were delightful.

The wait staff is responsive. The restaurant is warm and inviting. The Cesar salad is always delicious. The fresh pasta with red vodka sauce was a perfect touch spicy. The crème brûlée for dessert was delicious.

We were seated quickly on a busy Saturday night. Plenty of fresh bread, bruschetta was zesty with ample garlic. My son loved his child's portion of spaghetti Alfredo, and my gnocchi was tender and delicate. Loved it; would definitely come again!

Excellent dinner on Wednesday evening. We didn't have a reservation and the place seemed full. Mike the owner was there to greet us and said let me take a look. Within a few minutes the hostess seated us in a nice table. Water and bread arrived immediately. Our waitress Jurany was soon to follow with a big smile and explained the nightly specials. She took our drink order and was back in minutes with the drinks. We needed a few minutes to relax and enjoy the drinks and warm bread. Jurany came back shortly again with a smile and took our orders. Both the salads and dinners were delicious. This is the second time Jurany has waited on us. She is friendly, energetic, organized and a very good server. We have been enjoying La Toscana for years will continue dining there with great service like we had. The owners on site make the whole place run smoothly. Newly remodeled with beautiful decor throughout. Keep up the good work! Ron & Marie Hall

Conveniently located just off No 101 in north Marin, this family owned & run restaurant serves the Italian classics done well. It has an extensive wine cellar including great Italian and California selections. There's also a lively full bar. There are 3 distinct areas to dine in to suit your mood. Many locals are regulars giving La Toscana a friendly feel.

Really sad and disappointing. We have been coming to La Toscana for more than a decade but not much since Covid. We had previously enjoyed attentive service, well prepared and somewhat upscale preparations of Italian American classics, and almost always left satisfied. Not tonight. Although the server was friendly when he was at our table, he was absent and absent-minded the entire evening. We had to ask the manager to get him to take our orders after sitting for nearly 15 minutes. He forgot a few small things (lemons for a drink we asked for three times) and additional (amazing) house baked bread 4x before we asked a busser who finally brought us our second basket. The food was really pedestrian although the pasta with boar meat and the chicken Parmesan had good reviews from our guests. The sautéed prawns (4?!?!) and the chicken Marsala were pretty bland and uninspired.
