Came in on Monday afternoon, it was virtually empty. Despite seeing me look at the menu for a few minutes to decide, the cashier took issue with me only ordering a regular burrito - "it only has beans, meat, cheese salsa". I said that I know, and that's fine and paid for my meal. And while the cook is making my burrito, the cashier goes over to the cook to see what they are doing, and proceeds to berate them in Spanish for putting too much ingredients in my burrito- telling her to make it smaller. I hear all of this in Spanish because well, the place is empty and it's right in fucking front of me. She sheepishly hands me a Taco Bell sized burrito a few minutes later, i shoot a glare at the pea sized cashier and leave. Tossed my burrito in the trash on the way to my car. Fuck this place.

It's not a bad spot but I wouldn't say the food is hella good. Came in just needing something to hold me over until I had to go to a meeting, also wasn't super hungry so I was able to really take my time and eat my food. I had the super burrito carne asada wet and it wasn't bad. Now the only problem I had with that burrito was that the meat was cut up hella small so it had the illusion where there was hella meat. The wait time wasn't bad the store was pretty slow today. If you're in the area and need a quick fix defiantly a spot to go to. Would I go here again? Yeah, but like I said if I was in the area and was craving Mexican food.

I don’t think I’ve ever left a bad review before, so I don’t take this lightly. But I had a carne asada burrito on 2/22/24 around 5pm. I stated to feel ill last night, and then this morning up until now (noon the next day) I have been on the toilet while holding a trash can. Coming out both ways non stop. (I’ve had nothing else to eat since the burrito, so it was easy to pin-point). The ER is 20 mins away and I would have gone to get some IV’s and such, but there is no way I could make it 20 mins. I’m so miserable I called a mobile IV company to save me. So this burrito is going to cost me about $400. It was a good burrito, but if the owner reads this, please don’t use old meat or maybe change your vendor. For everyone else’s sake.

Love their custom made burritos and their attention to a heart healthy diet. I have tried countless other taco shops in Marin and SF, and while most other burrito/taco shops offer a watery, out of the bottle, salsa mixture... Sonoma Taco's mild salsa (on the side) is the freshest tasting 'salsa fresca' (chopped tomatoes and onions) I've ever had! I take a few little samples home and have with eggs the next day!
