Ambience, and staff really make this place. It's in an odd location, but you forget that after you settle in. Drinks are artesianal and an experience. Great place for a first date, or hanging with friends.

We love this place. It has become one of our fav date-night spots. Great drinks by the bartender-- my fav, Funkalicious. Great small plates to share. And great ambience. We definitely recommend this place.

We visited Social Affair with a bunch of friends and tried their cocktails and whiskey. The drinks were superb though the pricing is on the higher end. However the place is awesome for a nice get together. The service is great and the owners are super nice.

Very cute art-deco inspired little bar. Unfortunately they closed the kitchen even for desserts, which was disappointing. We wanted to try the desserts on a late Saturday night. The decor gives off a mix between mid century modern meets industrial. It is a tiny space, and I wish we were able to try the chocolates.

Food/Drinks: 5/5Service: 4/5Ambiance: 4/5Starting off with the drinks, my sister and I ordered the Aperol Remix and the Meet Me in Pearis. They were both unique, flavorful drinks and had beautiful presentation in theme with the holidays. We also ordered the spicy sausage with roasted garlic potatoes. It was delicious, the sausage was perfectly spicy and juicy, the potatoes weren't too dry. It also came with this aioli on the side that was to die for. I would literally buy it on its own. The service was fine, the waiter was very nice but he didn't seem very knowledge about the menu items. We asked for recommendations but he couldn't really give us an answer besides his own personal favorite. He also wasn't very knowledgeable about which liquor was in what drink. He kept rushing us even though the place wouldn't close until another hour and a half. The ambiance is alright, there's only a few tables and all of them were taken and there was about 4 groups. We sat on these high bar chairs which was pretty uncomfortable. The atmosphere isn't really your typical dim-lit, noisy "bar", it's brighter and intimate. Would mistake it for a restaurant instead of a bar. Also, the weird thing about this place is they only take one card. That was a thing of 2010 but it is what it is, just keep in mind when you go with a party. Overall, drinks are great and a nice place to catch up with friends.

Nice cozy wine bar in San Ramon. Social Affair is located on the top floor of the City Center right next to The Lot. I came here for a date night last month. They have Happy Hour from 4-6pm with discounts on their wine and some light bites. I had a couple of glasses of their house red wine and my date tried the wine flight. Overall a nice intimate spot to grab a drink.

If I could give this place a 10 out of 5 I would. They were that good! My twin sister and I hosted a private event over the weekend with 50 guests. From start to finish they were excellent. PlanningLet's talk about how it started. We found the venue from an extensive search for the perfect BAY AREA venue to throw our 40th bday. I had SO many questions and inquiries and Gunjan (the owner) was so freaking patient with me. She really needs an award. She kept saying "don't worry we will take care of you." I really should have listened. Working out the details with her was quite easy because she was so patient. She even allowed us to have a specialty cocktail that was yummy! Let me tell you, we had five final-stages-venue and I'm so happy we went with Social Affairs.Location is excellent because we stayed at the Marriot which is just down the street. And in general the City Center has such a fun vibe.We decided on an 8pm party with food. We looked at the menu and confirmed with Gunjan on the offerings we wanted. I don't recall our selections but the final display was excellent. I think they nailed the charcuterie down. It was clear they've done this before.SetupWe brought our own dessert with no other decorations because if you have been, the venue is small and intimate. To be honest, the venue does not need it. It has an aesthetic that is already classic and pleasing to the eye. They played music through Spotify and we just specified our preferred genre. PartyI was concerned on the wait time for the drinks since the bar is tucked in the back and I wasn't sure if it would be one bartender for a party of 50. BOY! They are so efficient! The team back there needs an applause! It was obvious this was something they have perfected through experience. As I was mingling and drinking I forgot to try the food. My guest kept commenting on the excellent food and it sounds like they served way more than we even picked! I do recall that the food table was refilled quite efficiently. My regret is that I didn't eat anything except for a cracker. As with any good night, I was told about the end of the party because I no longer had memory at this point. I was repeatedly told how excellent Social Affairs team was. They took care of us and assisted me in helping me find my phone (that was apparently in my husbands pocket and hand) and then later my purse (on a chair). It was clear I had too good of a time. I was also told that the staff never rushed us and was very accommodating.Overall I had a wonderful evening and my birthday was made extra special by the team at Social Affairs. I had guest comment that they would absolutely go back for their attentiveness, care, and of course yummy dishes and drinks.Like I said 10 out of 5 stars. Thank you Gunjan and team without you our birthday would not have been as seamless, fun, easy and memorable. A thousand THANK YOUS! Now what are you waiting on? Go check them out!

As always, the cocktails here are original, unique and inventive. I love how the menu changes seasonally. I do miss cocktails that are no longer on the menu but this way it forces me to try something new and different. I tried Flashpoint. I love the tropical flavors like a mai tai without the sweetness. My friends had The Socialite, Turtle Boy, and Meet Me In Pearis. All well-made craft concoctions that will for sure blow your mind. Deviled eggs are always a must have. There's something delicious and devilish about them that makes them fabulous. Tonight we also had:ROASTED LEBANESE EGGPLANT - Full of flavor with a kick! PEAR & PROSCUITTO, BURRATA, GARLIC OIL, BALSAMIC GLAZE PIZZALovely dim atmosphere. Love the wood furniture.

Decided to check out this bar for the first time because they have good reviews and it looked nice from the photos online. The wood touches, servingware, and decor is nice and the servers were friendly, but we were unfortunately very disappointed by the quality of the food we ordered. My friend and I got the sparkling wine flights ($25) for happy hour, which were decent. However, the server mixed up the order of the wines and couldn't remember which was the prosecco vs cava. There were only 3, so we thought he'd know what they were. Also, the glasses they gave us to drink the wines were wet with water droplets all over the inside and outside. Seems like a small detail, but I would think a place that serves wine would pay attention to give customers dried wine glasses... We also ordered the deviled eggs ($13), but they were not "deviled" at all. More like hard boiled eggs cut in half with some sauce and paprika sprinkled over them. We were extremely disappointed by the lack of flavor and quality/presentation, especially after the server raved about them being their most popular item. It wasn't until later that night, I looked up photos and it turned out we didn't receive the item that we had ordered. Whoever made our dish definitely slacked off and did not make it as it should have been made (see photos attached). So disappointed by this place, which we were hoping would become one of our new go-to spots in the area. Maybe they had an off day because I don't know how they have such good reviews, but we were very unimpressed by our lackluster experience. The attention and care was not there for what I'd expect for this level of an establishment. We felt especially jipped by the "deviled" eggs they served us and don't know if we'll ever come back.
