Went here for the first time before attending the Art Walk because it was promoted as “award winning”. Far from it. Hardly anyone there for dinner, super noisy acoustics. Our dinners for 7 of us came out spread out many minutes between each. Some were half way done eating while others hadn't even received their food. But the biggest problem we had was a super loud band that actually had a tuba player, a drum player, accordion, guitar and so loud it should've been in a stadium and not in a restaurant that was serving 20 diners. We couldn't speak at all because no one could hear what anyone was saying. Walked out of there with a headache and no plans on returning

Very disappointed, food wasn't worth the hype. I ordered AguaChile's, every Hispanic knows that they are ment to be spicy and flavorful which they werent. Also some oysters, they did not taste good had a funky after taste. But overall was not good at all very bland food. I also ordered a michelada was not what was expected it tasted like medicine. The only real props I can give was the service, the gentlemen was very attentive, and a simple jack and coke which you can't obviously mess up thank God. Over all can't recommend this place, should not be hyped and should not have the prices they have for the type of food they serve. Hopefully they can take all this advice and make a huge change in the food and the prices.

I came with my man at night time and it was sorta lonely but there was a couple of drunk men being very disgusting towards me doing inappropriate signs, what the workers or manager should be doing is kicking them out when there acting out. I ordered the agua Chile and my man ordered the same thing and it was disgusting too sour and salty I'm not sure if the person who made it knows how to make agua Chile cause that wasn't it. Also I don't think it's even safe to eat there food because when I tried to eat the shrimp it was rubbery and I assume the shrimp was expired. The service was mid. I expected the place to be amusing but it wasn't and it's not worth paying ridiculous amount of money for a small amount of food that doesn't even taste good at all.

I came to this restaurant hoping to have a good '15 de Septiembre' (Mexico Independence Day) dinner, knowing that it was a Mexican restaurant. But I end up with a GROSE night. A lady threw up in front of the dinning room, restrooms were ok. And finally one of the musicians been born in Mexico was rude by saying the restaurant cud not play el himno nacional of Mexico because he felt too cocky. When it was a 25 dolar song. To be true. He was just lazy to put a song.

The food and drinks are over priced and are not good quality. The service is terrible and incompetent. Only good thing is the music.

Yup, read the reviews and still decided to come here because of some cravings. As soon as you walk in, you will notice the live band that's playing loud music. If you want to be entertained, this is the place to go. I definitely wouldn't recommend going on a first date, for example, because it will be difficult to hear each other. Had to check around and noticed NO ONE was talking to each other at other tables. The restaurant is plenty big with lots of tables and seating but it does feel tight and crowded. The restroom was super dirty with the entire floor wet of I don't know what (yikes!). We ordered the cucumber limon cocktail and the Mexican lolipop. It was good and I want to say the bar is the most attractive feature in the restaurant. To eat, we ordered the agua chiles, chicken mole and empanadas de camaron. All very good. And all very expensive. With this restaurant in Santa Ana and so much competition around, I wouldn't venture here again.

I was surprised by my experience. The food is substantially overpriced for what they offer. $30.00 for rice, beans, and shrimp. I've dined on better quality food and bigger portions at a steak house for the prices paid. The service was slow and unattentive. It was my friend and I, plus another large party that was there for drinks and probably appetizers. Service was slow. Bad idea to show up hungry. There was water running into the main hall from the restroom as we walked in. This should have been the indication of what we were walking into.

My experience going to Hectors wasn't pleasant. They serve beers in plastic cups and gt warm super quick. The bathroom was super dirty and it was really expensive for what they served and the service was horrible. I dont recommend going. It's unprofessional. The shrimps were tiny and I dont not recommend. It's not worth what they charge. One star is way more then they should receive

I came by on a Friday afternoon to meet up some friends. Our server Natalia was courteous and cordial. We had some guacamole, cold beers, oysters, and some ceviche. It wasn't busy at all, so we were able to talk and catch up without interruptions. Make sure to park in the back to avoid paying for parking on the street.

Every time we go to Santa Ana this place is our go-to. Chips are super fresh and they had this creamy jalapeño salsa that was AMAZING. We've only been during the day but I imagine dinner and late night get busy. Super cute atmosphere and food is fresh and delicious. Great Margaritas.
