Great local find and glad to support a small traditional bakery. Will order ahead next time, was pleased to get the last boule today (a Saturday) just 15 or 20 minutes after they opened.

This place is something special. It's owned and operated by this couple that's passionate about sourdough bread. You can order two days in advance or they also have same-day ordering. Their online system starts at 9am and the bread gets sold out quickly! After I ordered, I went to pick it up and there was a sign that said they're out of bread unless you ordered it online. They also have a dehydrated mother starter but I haven't tried that yet. I have tried the sourdough boule and the rosemary boule and both were amazing. I'm excited to try their baguettes too and the sandwich bread. It's located in a small strip mall and I found parking easily. It's my go-to bakery now.

I've tried other "authentic" sourdough and they simply do not compare to Moses Bread. Do yourself a favor and preorder. The kids love when we make pizza with the pizza dough too.

I found this place by searching "good sourdough near me" and Google did not disappoint. This mom and pop Korean owned bakery truly makes the best sourdough in town! Perfectly crunchy crust, soft fluffy inside, and the option to get 1/2" slices or leave the loaf whole. You can order your bread online for pickup 2 days later, which is a great option if you want a specific type of loaf or quantity made fresh just for you. You can also walk in and buy ready made loaves, but these go fast. I pre-ordered a loaf and added on a smaller loaf when I went to pick it up, and I made the mistake of having the smaller loaf sliced and right next to me in the car...now I'm super full after snacking on the delicious bonus loaf during my drive. Zero regrets.

Outstanding service. Authentic sourdough bread made by a Korean mom/pop shop business. Highly recommend!

A super small mom and pop shop that serves fresh sourdough! You can't really shop here on a whim, you have to preorder what you want from their offering online, and pickup minimum 2 days later. They also slice the loaf for you upon request!

I'm coming back and grabbing more loaves for sure! Love the option of slicing the loaf, and it's proper slice size! Most places slice always at 1/4" and it's just too thin lol! The owner was super sweet and welcoming and showed me how to reserve my bread online so I don't miss out My daughter and I just snacked our way through the loaf without even toasting it yet! I put the loaf in the fridge and texture was still the perfect chew and didn't dry out nor crust did not harden during the week I ate it!

The place looks like an incontax office and the man is in a very bad mood. I don't know how the taste is and I never went to check it.

Stay away from our bread!Avoid going here too early because you may get here ahead of us. Arrive on the late side after we have had our pick of this amazing bread made by a sweet couple. They work this small shop by themselves.Better yet, go buy your fake sourdough bread from your local grocery store. Moses bread is too good for you anyway. They use real sourdough starter. You probably don't know what that is.There are a few places that use sourdough starter; for example, you can fly up to San Francisco and they use a particular type of starter. You can also buy various types online if you're into baking your own. Not a bad idea. Buy your own starter and bake your own bread and stay out of our favourite sourdough store. To avoid any conflicts with our family, you can (and should) place an order on their website. Wait three (3) days for it to ferment properly, then pick it up. Not joking. Great things are worth waiting for. We can't fight you for your bread since you already paid for it online. Just beware of armed robbers outside the store. It's legal to own a gun in America.Bring your own protection, but stay away from our bread.

I cannot praise this bread enough. It transcended my expectations and reignited my appreciation for this age-old wonder. It is undoubtedly a testament to the artistry and craftmanship that goes into creating something as simple and yet as profound as a loaf of bread.

Amazing. Sleepy hole in the wall. Sells out daily. They sell their starter in case you’re wondering. They will slice the bread too. Yum!!!

Most likely the best sour dough bread in OC. A hidden gem of a bakery that has absolutely perfected their craft. Highly recommended if you want to taste what good bread can be!

So after my initial visit last week where I just bought the plain sour dough because everything else was reserved by the time I arrived only 30 minutes before closing - So I decided to place my order ahead of time via the website (you order 2 days in advance). I ordered:Boule FigBoule Blue Cheese6 bagelsRustic Loaf - Olive AND Rosemary (I paid for 2 flavors)The prices were very reasonable considering the high end quality of ingredients. The Rustic Loaf was AMAZING! I loved the blend of the olive and rosemary flavors and the bread was that perfect combination of slightly crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. They also have a XL loaf that is larger than this and the Boules are smaller and rounder. Both the Fig and Blue Cheese Boules had a generous amount of real figs and blue cheese chunks in them respectively.I think I like the Rustic Loaf style better than the Boule because my favorite part is the fluffy interior and there was more of that on the Rustic Loaf. The sour dough bagels were delicious and great to eat plain or also yummy toasted with cream cheese.I will definitely be ordering bread from Moses Bread again in the future - very soon at that since it was delicious and so well made!

2/4/23 (visit date) Took me a while to consider writing this review. I appreciate that is that it is a small mom and pop shop, and I am very happy and proud to have patronized their business, I've had my fair share of sourdough breads. They do get my vote on the customer service portion. I see the love & care for their products.I was not especially impressed with the sourdough bagel. Perhaps if I had gotten it first off when they've been made? It was a tad on the dry side. Must admit, the loaf, yes, at $9.99 per loaf was a little steep-but I understand the concept of the fresh & limited ingredients, no preservatives , etc. I do not mind paying for something if it'll a full on 5 star taste. I was really looking to have that pronounced "tang" or "sour" that it's supposed to be have. As soon as I got home, I placed the paper bag in a sealed plastic bag to retain its freshness. I lightly toasted it the next day & it was actually pretty good with a little bit of butter. It did lack a little of moisture though. I've tasted Boudins' when we've visited the factory in San Francisco, nice tang & you can smell it!! I've tasted Old Town, even the day old bread (Gilroy Garlic Sourdough is a must!!!). It's hard to compete from well established entities but I admire the passion that Moses Bread has for their products. I'm glad to have tried it.
