My husband and I came here on a whim while waiting for an appointment. We shared the deviled eggs and build your own toast. Everything was delicious! The Michelada was just okay but I'm also super picky with my Micheladas. We will definitely be back for the bottomless mimosas! They have indoor and outdoor seating with heaters. Great atmosphere and wonderful service!

came here a couple weeks ago and the service was so bad. you get your ID checked before entering and for some reason the guy with the man bun behind the bar double checked our IDs? it was a very slow night and the guy behind the bar has us take a number and sit to wait for just two screwdrivers?? we waited at a DIRTY table for 15 minutes for our tow drinks. the tables were so dirty that we had to place napkins down to rest our elbows. i recommend this spot only if you want to be disrespected and sit in filth. could only rate 1 star but i rate 0 stars.

We came here to try their OC Restaurant Week menu items and we were pleasantly surprised. We originally saw this place a few years ago during Taste of Santa Ana. I believe they were servings burgers or something outside, but by the time we had passed by, they had ran out! We had not returned since, but after we saw their menu for Restaurant Week, we decided to give it a try, as we were in the area. For $65, we got the following: Queso Fundido: The chips were very well seasoned. It paired well with the queso and it seemed to taste like pizza! Braised Short Ribs: This came on a bed of mashed potatoes and gravy along with some broccolini. I would have to say that this was pretty good for the price. I have had better, but I did like how much sauce came with it over the gravy, as some places it is a bit lackluster. Flan: This was a bit underwhelming. We asked for it to go and it was pretty small and tough. I am a fa of soft and silky flan, but this was more on the hard and bubbly. It did not have the silky texture that I love. Crawler: The can is super cute and comes in a large portion! We have not tried this yet, but we were able to choose from about 10 Native Son drafts. I am super excited about this, but it is too cute to open! 2 Cocktails of Choice: We tried the Dark Day and Golden Eye. Both were strong and well presented Overall, I really enjoyed our experience. It is downtown, so parking could be a pain, especially with the construction and road closures nearby. We walked up and did not have to wait long to order or receive our food. We were helped by Sky, who had the best energy and service. She seemed like she genuinely enjoys her job, which is something I can particularly appreciate working in the food industry. Would definitely come back to try some of their other drinks and possibly their Happy Hour Menu items!

Amazing food. Staff went out of their way to make sure our party was seated with a positive attitude. Constantly checked on us to make sure we were enjoying our time here.

Good spot went for the brunch. It was a friends birthday and they had been there before. My first time there and I am a Santa Ana native, been wanting to check this spot out tho so it was perfect. I ordered the chilakiles burrito that's not on the menu they had but it is available it was freaking good. I ordered it with grilled onions and they forgot but they made it up by giving me another one without me asking. That was a 5 star rating in itself. But I did have one thing about it which made me give them 4 star and it's because of my coffee now maybe not everybody is big on morning coffee but I am and the hot coffee was ok not good not bad but ok, I asked for vanilla cream and they only brought me 3, I asked for a lot and they still brought me 3 creamers. ???? I asked for original Half and half cream and they brought me a tiny cup of it. I had to keep asking for cream and felt a little embarrassed that I had to keep asking for cream. But however everything else was really good the service the food the mimosas good. Next time I won't do brunch and get my coffee elsewhere but I will be coming back but not for my coffee.

I've been coming here for years. It's changed a lot as far as cocktails being added. It used to just be a brewery. I've seen staff leave and new staff come in. The guys still got their stanky faces but the women are a little nicer. Food is still mediocre I wouldn't recommend it. Bartenders making the cocktails have a heavy hand. Prices have gone up. I paid almost $20 for a drink. You basically pay for the view a now gentrified downtown Santa Ana

They lie and use false market tactics to scam people out of their money.

Food and drinks were good. Servers seemed very nice and helpful. Male bartender was nice enough I guess but made me feel like I wasn't welcome as he was too busy talking with a friend or maybe local...

01/19/24 PLEASE DO NOT ARRIVE TO THIS BAR!!! IF YOURE PLANNING TO HAVE A GOOD TIME.I would like to start off that I have often been going to this bar for years never had problems with the employees till…This male or female filled tattoos on his or her arms brunette hair wearing glasses trying to impress his or her co-workers having a misbehavior attitude. I only had a few drinks he or she assume I was VERY DRUNK when he or she mention I was “yelling and falling over the place” when I wasn’t. I have many witnesses to prove my point and couple friends asking for drinks for themselves and the bartender rejected them when they had no action towards myself.Another is what I found odd about the bartender decision was he excluded myself and my latino friends to purchase more drinks except my asian friend and assume he had few drinks when we all had same amount order of drinks. The majority of the bartenders were upset of his or her actions and were disturb of his or her decision. Not to mention most of the bartenders were drinking on the job.

I wish I could leave 0 stars. My dad was racially profiled by one of the security guards at native son. He was followed and harassed by this individual. They claimed my dad had "snuck in" even though he had been there for hours, and was simply trying to ask the security guard where he was able to dance to the music with my mom. My dad is a 68 year old marine corps veteran who hardly ever goes out and when he does, this happens? This is the second instance I have experienced where someone I know has been racially profiled here. The first instance involved my friend who was asked to have her bag searched even though no one else in our group was asked. The security guard was rude and when asked why he didn't search anyone else's bag, he did not provide an answer. My friend also happens to be black. It seems like this is a trend at Native Son. It is disappointing and insulting. It is 2024 and there are still instances of outright racism? Get it together.

Overlooking the downtown area, this rooftop bar is probably gunna be a favorite spot of mine for happy hours. They have a lot of brewskis to choose from although it's only 1-2 bucks off, happy hour from 4-6 is always a vibe. So come hang out, enjoy the views, order some fries while you're at it.Fries: Get!For $7, they give you A LOT. However, it's loaded with seasoning and salt so... be prepared to order some more beers and stay awhile lol.Parking is over at a nearby structure and after hanging out for a few hours I only had to pay like a dollar so it was 100% worth it. On colder days there's heat lamps outside too so that's nice but you'll still wanna bring a jacket.
