Shawn the roaster. You can tell he really takes pride in his work. I've never been to the store, but have ordered online a couple times. Each time, he takes the extra effort to send out an email letting me know that my coffee is ready and is about to ship. The beans have always arrived super fresh and on time. The online ordering is super easy and convenient. You can also do a monthly subscription of your choosing or you can let him choose for you. And lastly, that coffee packaging though. I love the hand stamped art on the "Kid in Me" blends. Great customer service and perfectly roasted coffee.

So what cafe are these people talking about? I walked in expecting a local roaster judging by the name "old town roasters,". It is instead a little independent organic/vegan/vegitarian I don't know what, that has 3 choices for coffee beans, and doesn't serve pour over?! What roaster doesn't serve pour over? Instead you get coffee out of a tall commercial carafe. No thanks.

I wanted to try a local roaster, as I have been buying beans from out of town dotcoms, was pleasantly surprised with this. I bought the green door blend from the green door cafe. Coffee smelled great, was roasted a week ago, beans looked and felt great, no junk beans, and it has a really unique flavor. I am going to try some others, looking forward to it.

I always look for the local independent place when I travel. I wasn't disappointed! Loved my iced mocha. Also enjoyed my vegan sweets, and I'm not vegam.

I ordered the Veggie Garden Burrito, it was tasty. Love that they have included Gluten Free items to their menu since I'm gluten intolerant... not because I'm trying to be trendy - but if I eat something with Gluten in it I double over in debilitating pain for 8-10 hours. So its a relief to eat somewhere without looking like a picky customer. Their Hazlenut Latte was amazing as well. Overall a great place with a mello family friendly atmosphere.

Love the coffee, love the clever names given to the blends. The unique artistic designs on the packages make them fun to give as gifts. Really, what can be better than to wake up to a cup of coffee that says " good morning beautiful" when I'm at my worst. I really like the generosity of giving from Shawn to others.

This is my kind of coffee, joe the way it ought to be. Simply, Shawn roasts the beans right and makes a product he drinks himself. His medium roast Guatemala/Huehuetenango blend is right on. I am a fan of the enemy (Starbucks) so take my praise as you dare, but OTR makes a cup that has the brass to stand up against the Seattle style of 'burnt beans' while never mass producing their product nor losing the ballsiness that serious coffee lovers like about the NW approach to roasting. Or at least that's my take. Good work, Shawn. Keep it up - you have my business, and I drink 15 cups of coffee a week. Just speak well at my funeral, huh?
