I have now used their catering twice - once personally for my husband's 50th and once professionally for my office party. They are amazing! Each time, everyone I have interacted with on their staff has been extremely kind and professional. I got so many compliments from people on the food. We had the brisket, chicken, veggie kababs, salad, mac & cheese and their BBQ beans. All phenomenal!! I can't wait to use them, again!

The whole process was very simple.We ordered catering from them for a party of about 40 people.I called to schedule the date and order the food and Christy was very helpful and got everything set in a matter of minutes. The week before the party we needed to move the delivery back an hour and they handled the change with no problem.The food was delivered and set up right on time. We got brisket, chicken, Mac n cheese, corn and bbq beans. Everything was delicious and there was more than enough food to feed the crowd, send a bunch home and feed our family for most of the next week.We would definitely order from them again.

Had them cater for 80 guest. I ordered four meats with sides, and had enough for approximately 10 more guest. Brisket, ribs, sausage and even the chicken was delicious. The two servers were very polite and arrived on time. We'll appreciate!

A few weeks ago I had a birthday -going away party for my son who's going to the Navy and I had it catered by them and the food was delicious. I was so happy with the service. Christy was so helpful. One of the meats I ordered was left behind and she drove from Santa Ana to me in Lakewood. I highly recommend this place.
Christy made ordering food for my 50 guests easy when I was so overwhelmed . She was super helpful and I'd use RJ again. I'd probably cut the food back to 45 for 50 cuz we had a lot of extra food . But better safe than sorry . All my guests loved the food . The brisket was totally a hit ! Falls apart and delicious . I ordered baby back ribs , macaroni and cheese , chicken for 25 and then cut in half to make 50 pieces, Veggie kabobs , pasta salad , pulled pork . If I had to do it over , I'd pass on the baby back ribs but all my guests liked everything . My favorite was the brisket , rolls, beans , and I added myself fruit bowls . Everyone has a great time . I opted for full service with 2 servers but ended up with 3 . I thought they told me their job was to serve my guests and cleanup , which they did but I would have appreciated them going to the tables and asking if everything was ok and if they wanted anything else . I tipped the 3 servers $50 each but I really only needed 2 servers . Everyone said the food was great so in my book that's a success . The party was held July 2, 2023

I ordered sliders for 50 and barely had enough meat for 30. When I called in a panic after the food had been delivered and saw how little meat there was I was told "I have been doing this for 30 years and it is plenty". Embarrassingly enough only 30 of our guests got meat for $750. You should ask how many pounds is included, conveniently left off, versus how much per person. We were extremely disappointed and frustrated that our party was ruined and that when addressed I was brushed off. Never again!

The prices, the service, the professionalism, and the response times are all top notch. Everyone I dealt with was super helpful and friendly. Then to boot the food was delicious! I only got compliments from my guests. I'll definitely be eating here again. Great experience.

Had an outdoor party for 30 the end of April. EVERYONE said how delicious the food from Richard Jones Pit BBQ was and I totally agree. Ribs were the best, and loved the beans, scalloped potatoes, and corn. But as important as the food was the wonderful service. Food arrived hot and on time, and Christian, who set it up, was so helpful and patient with us, showed us what to do and spent the time to see that all was prepped and prepared the best possible way. All in all, a very positive experience. Highly recommend.
