The green salad was exceptionally fresh. I was very surprised by this, I was also quite grateful to see that it only had iceberg and romaine lettuce in it.The green beans with bacon where awesome. From there, let's just say things went downhill. My dinner companion and I both ordered the pot roast dinner.When it was served, it was not even lukewarm. We had to have the server reheat it and even then basically only the outer edges were hot.I ordered a meal to go plus a desert so my person at home would have a lunch for the next day. He found hard plastic/glass fragments in the meal. The desert was to have a buttery crust and all it was was pressed, very dry Graham crackers.Yes, when I called and spoke to the manager today she was upset, but this should not of happened. As we had paid in cash, she is giving us Bear Bucks for use at a later date.Well, I can tell you neither myself nor my companion will be going back to this particular Black Bear Diner.All the others I and my family have been to were wonderful.

This was our first time coming to Black Bear Diner it was the food was amazing quality and so rich with flavor! great environment and super clean! Server Allison was so welcoming and heart warming she was super sweet and quick with it! Definitely recommend coming here

The lines are long but the food is good. If you go early you can avoid the crowds. I like the French Toast!! Supper yummy!!

Went here for breakfast today....it was delicious. Our server was Jessie and I highly recommend asking for him. He was spot on and not just with us. He was very attentive, friendly and he made sure everyone in his section were well taken care of. Will definitely go back and ask for Jessie !

If you're looking for a good diner style of restaurant, this is the place. The decor is fun as it will make you feel as though you are in a camping lodge. The food is well priced and the portions are large. The flavor on the pot roast and the french toast items that we had were wonderful. The service was quick and the staff was pleasant to deal with. Next time we're bringing the kids as it looks like there are a lot of options for young ones too.

We love Black Bear Diner. There portions are good sized and the service is on point. Food is very tasty and it has a cozy atmosphere. This is not a basic breakfast spot, the food is good quality.

The food is marginal at best ... their food quality has seemed to decline as they add more restaurants...they may want to take a rest on the acquisition path and concentrate on where they started in Shasta and go from there..

Food is great just server Shasta really has attitude and no customer service she did not once check up on us had to stand up and get refills and plates myself. manger working today shift is sweet and deserves a raise he was really understanding and nice.
