OK, I had read about this place in an article in the Orange County Register, about great Mexican eateries in OC, probably a year ago. My son and I were in Santa Ana on some business and I mentioned to him, "Hey...I pinned a restaurant, a Mexican restaurant, I read about, on Google Maps. It's not too far away. Shall we try it?One of our better "off the beaten path" decisions. This was by far some of the best Mexican food I've had in SoCal. In chatting with the owner I discovered it has been here for 85 years. That's longer than many chain restaurants that come and go after 30 years. But...I understand. The food here is delicious! That's why I love these historical family owned eateries.

A hidden gem of a small restaurant in Santa Ana CA. First time here for me. The carnitas plate was very satisfying. I've got to try some more menu items.Parking: Look it up on the map. You'll see. I was there on a mid-day Saturday.
