Our order was missing a dozen cupcakes. Ok, best practice was to interface the receipt with what was exactly received in site. My boyfriend realized when he got home. No apologies, no comps, they thought it was magnanimous of them to wait for him to come back to get the rest.I really didn't like how they treated him, so we won't be coming back. I also didn't like how they handled our order before our event. It was going to rain and I asked if they could postpone my order. They could've kept my money and baked another time, but that wasn't an option per the owner, they were going to serve them up regardless.

Simply Sweet Cakes made a beautiful Christmas themed baby shower cake. They were wonderful to work with & even reached out when they were decorating the cake to make suggestions to make it even better. I really appreciated that extra effort to make the perfect cake. Everything about the cake was delicious. Also ordered cupcakes that were also yummy. Highly recommend Simply Sweet Cakes & I will order from here again!

I was looking for a custom cake on the fly which is not an easy task but I popped into simply sweet cakes and got lucky Mrs. Cecilia had time to make it happen for me! We had family come in last minute and wanted to do a mini gender reveal party while they were in town since we were about to get the results at that time.I gave the envelope with the results to Mrs Cecilia and picked up the cake the next day before dinner and tada, it's a boy! The cake was soooo tasty too - we did funfetti with cream cheese frosting inside. So good!

Just wanted to leave my 2 cents. I was a little caution because of the few negative reviews but I believe there was miscommunication and maybe last min request for those customers. The owner was really good in communicating making sure she understood what you wanted. I had no idea what I wanted so I gave her a theme and let her be creative. Turns out it came out beautifully. This owner is definitely passionate about her business and her store also has cupcakes and accessories and it's well kept. Definitely coming back for future occasions!

A birthday cake really well done! I felt that there was too much fondant and not enough buttercream used but the taste was pleasant.
Literally want to cry at this cake. My daughter is graduating from med school and this is the cake. It's pathetic and I felt that when I picked it up, the staff could see my disappointment. They could have cared less. The cake was cheap and I guess you get what you pay for but this was my biggest nightmare. Looks like a 2nd grader made this.

Cake was good but customer service was horrible. She gave me the impression that she was doing me a favor by selling an overpriced cake. Could also have been racial bias. Either way, very happy with the cake but no her attitude. Thank you for the eye opener!

I cannot tell you how happy I am to have finally found an amazing bakery in OC. I have driven to LA for the past 8 years to pick up cakes and I refused to do it this year determined to find some place local. I sent Simply Sweet Cakes a pic of a cake I saw online and they were able to recreate it perfectly. I kept asking, are you sure you can replicate it. Are you sure you can make the pine cones and the owner giggled. I was so afraid it wasn't going to turn out well. My cake was a 9 inch round vanilla cake with a delicious chocolate mousse filling with buttercream frosting. So fresh, so light, just beautifully decorated. My guests loved it and I cannot wait to order from them again. Thank you for the most delicious birthday cake.
