Big letdown; didn't live up to photos. Came in in the early afternoon, ordered a bagel and coffee, and was told "we are out of coffee." No offer to make more. No indoor seating. The bagel was ok but nothing special. Why bother coming to this place?

The best bagel Sammie's in town! I am obsessed with the Classic Sliced Lox Bagel or any of the breakfast bagels. Service is always fast and great. Bagels are fresh and delicious.

Pretty good bagel sandwiches. Pretty good bagels. Great staff! Had a few of their bagels which were solid and a few of their bagel sandwiches- their full veggie is great.

So tasty! The Thai tea is amazing, super tasty bagel sandwiches, and the donuts never disappoint. Very friendly staff, and it’s all priced very well!
Half the menu wasn't available, food was basic and overpriced, service was ok, forgot a part of my order

Fantastic bagels and donuts. I’ve been coming here since I was a child and it has always been great, same owner for 20+ years! Lll Support local! Regarding the comments below, they speak English quite well.

I grew up on the Mesa, been coming here for 30+ years. My family loves this place. I always think of my dad coming home with a bag of bagels and shmear on Saturday morning. More than nostalgic, these are actually some of the best bagels I’ve had on the west coast. Idk what all the 1 star reviews are about, probably all yuppies moved into sb and expecting some hipster artisanal bagel shop. This is what the Mesa was like growing up, it was REGULAR. With a regular, no frills bagel shop serving actually good bagels for cheap. Respect.
Every time I come the staff is so sweet, even when it's early morning. Probably the best little cafe in Santa Barbara with a variety of options from donuts to bagel sandwiches and coffee and boba and etc. reminds me so much of cafe shops I'd find when I lived in LA.

I've been going here for a couple years now semi frequently, and it's always just been okay. They mess up on orders semi frequently but their price point is okay. Sometimes the bagels are good sometimes they're not, the workers are nice though. I went today and I won't be going back for a very long time I think, one of my bagels had hairs baked into it. Yuck

Love the bagels and donuts from here! It's a little over my budget but it's Santa Barbara so not uncommon prices. I've brought some friends in and they were all happy too. Staff is really sweet and always gets my order out within a few minutes! I always hit this once a week usually after classes.

You know, this is a curious place that feels like it's been owned by the same folks for decades, but I don't know that to be fact. What's curious about it is that their bagels might very well be better than anyone else's in town. Especially if you prefer a more East Coast style of bagel, like I do. Jack's Bagels seems to kind of run Santa Barbara town, but they get boiled and baked too fluffy, bready for me. I don't think a bagel should be a baguette. I like a heavier, doughier, lower profile bagel like I used to get in D.C. and NYC.In addition, they always have some pretty great donuts there too, and have bags of fresh glazed donut holes right at the register. I'm not a big donut person (taste great in the mouth––heartburn in the tummy), but just a few of these donut holes are really kind of a fun flour/sugar bash.I really think they may have the best tasting bagels in town and although they really need to have capers on hand, their lox and bagel sandwich is just better than Jack's because the bagel is just better!
