This place is absolutely amazing. Food is yummy, prices are reasonable (compared to neighboring places in the funk zone) and the patio is super cute. Try the watermelon margarita and tri tip skewers! Love the laid back vibe of this place and the people that work here are super friendly. Saul, our server, truly goes above and beyond. I hosted my birthday here and he was outstanding, really making my special event run smoothly and just perfect. Very impressed with the service. One of my favorite spots in the funk zone for sure!

Came here with my wife and toddler after a trip to the museum. The play area was perfect to keep him occupied while we enjoyed our drinks. The food was surprisingly good and the beer, cocktails, and sparkling rose hit the spot on a sunny afternoon. Friendly service and reasonable prices. The food was delicious and the beer was great! Had the brass bear burger and it was delicious! Tried the surf and turf skewers and they were both juicy and flavorful! The location was great and the ambience was chill and welcoming. I would definitely recommend.

I stopped here for a drink after dinner one night while I was visiting Santa Barbara. The place is a little hard to find because it's tucked behind a building but once you get there, there's a large open patio space with games and fire pits. The ambience of the location is great and very family friendly. They have counter service where you could order beer and food. I just opted for a quick drink. The beer was OK but there weren't many options on the menu. I was also surprised with how quiet it was. It was a Friday night. I can definitely see this place being popular in the summer months or on a sunny day.

Hubs enjoyed his double IPA! Super family friendly - they had a play area for kiddos, which I thought was a great idea.

Just had our wedding reception here last weekend and had a wonderful time! The staff was incredibly accommodating and the food was great. The family loved the cocktails. Hats off to Caitlin and Emily for helping us coordinate smoothly and being so responsive during the planning phase. I really couldn't recommend Brass Bear Brewing and Bistro for any event needs. The space is really cute and conveniently located in Funk Zone. Will be sharing my recommendation with friends!

My friends and I visited Brass Beer for an early morning flight and Spicy Zucchini Spears, Potato Cake, and a Charcuterie Board. My favorite was the outdoor seating and their Book Exchange telephone booth. The spicy zucchini spears were roasted zucchini slices that were lightly seasoned, and their potato cakes were fairly plain - neither were a hit for me. Their charcuterie board was plentiful with crackers and a variety of expected items. Overall, their selections of beer are fairly limited, and their few menu items left much to be desired in terms of taste. While the staff were nice, there were also other areas that were disappointing, specifically the sticky menus and tables.
