Absolutely love the cocktails here. One of then best things about this property is how each bar has a curated cocktail menu. This environment is so welcoming, it's the perfect place to meet up with friends for a drink .

Lovely cocktails, friendly staff at this lobby bar. The Empress was light and nicely balanced. Seats at the bar are fine, but expect to see hotel guests and kids passing through. Better option, grab a seat out on the lovely patio. Worth checking out.

Amazing bar with craft cocktails and light snacks. The DJ makes it a fun experience. Will definitely come back. Popcorn and crostini were a great snack.

We stayed previously at HC in 2021 and as before the experience was exceptional. If you're planning a stay in the Santa Barabara area you can expect the BEST from Hotel Califiornian. From the spaciousness, bed comfort, amenities and decor our room was superb! Thank you HC for the great hospitality!

Improve telephone usage in guest room please! I was extremely disappointed after paying an ultra premium, not to be able to use the telephone in the guest room. Also, I was disappointed that the electrical outlet did not work in the bathroom, and when it was repaired, the only way I knew someone had tried to repair it was two extra screws left in the bathroom. And I needed to call again for help to get the electrical outlet working.

Loved our stay at this hotel! Perfect location, great rooftop, and the most comfortable beds and bedding I have ever slept in. Staff was helpful. Enjoyed the free bikes! Hotel is expensive but worth it!

Noisy rooms - housekeeping wasn’t done -we were out of room from 9:00-3:30 when we returned to room to get dressed for wedding! Paying over $900 a night one expects amazing attention to detail and customer service! All employees were polite and professional but could not help fix our TV, get our room clean or let us know we were in the noisiest room in the hotel. Stay at the Rosewood Miramar!

In-room dining has no kids friendly option. Goat tree (breakfast restaurant) has no kids options either. $35 resort fee seems excessive for what is being provided. Room and facility were clean. Staff were generally friendly.
Room and hotel was beautiful, housekeeping was great, linens on beds and bathroom were top notch. Service lacked a little. Location was a great, close to great restaurants, free use of bikes was nice. Our room was located in a very loud area

We enjoyed a three night stay at Hotel Californian while attending a wedding in Santa Barbara. The staff was super accommodating, especially Max who went out of his was to ensure we were thoroughly pleased with our stay. Our room was just off the courtyard where the lobby is situated. It was spacious and comfortable with quality bedding. We could have used a little more sitting, but loved our balcony with ocean views and the large windows. The Spanish design with Moorish influence was complimentary to the environment. There's a beautiful open courtyard between buildings. The grounds and rooms were all very clean. The food in the restaurants was good! The location is situated in the "Funk" zone which mean right in the tourist area. I was a little concerned about the noise from such a busy location, but the rooms were quiet.

Hotel Decor cute and modern. Rooftop view was pretty. Other than that, this is not a 5 star hotel. Room was very noisy and amenities not great! We had a few other couples who stayed there as well and we all said it was Not worth $750 plus a night! To many other cute places. We had just stayed in Huntington Beach at a 4 star hotel that was about half the price and it was unbelievable. Spa, views and amenities off the chart so maybe skewed our view a little.

a delightful, lovely place where we celebrated our 25th anniversary. Gorgeous room, pet friendly, perfect location Side note: The Spa Majorelle was divine! Both my husband and I had a massage at the hotel's spa. Total and complete nirvana. James was my massage therapist and he worked out a painful knot in my back. I indulged afterwards in a steam sauna and showered with fragrant botanicals. We will be back!

Had a wonderful two night stay. Great location! Room was very nice with a balcony looking to the ocean. Best part was the roof deck with spectacular panoramic views! Thoroughly enjoyed morning swims in the rooftop pool and hot tub. Do not hesitate to book a stay here!
