?? food was fire!! Warning cash only!!Taco de rajas was cheesy goodness authentic flavor- love the fresh handmade tortillas. Beef taco had generous meat, Tacos come with 2 tortillas, enough meat and rajas to make 2 tacos ??I also had the tamale with vegetables, good veggie and sauce topping. The kids had Quesadillas - they loved them!Hubby got chorizo and adobada /pork.The salsa bar is pretty simple, 2 salsa flavors and some pico de gallo. We'll def be back to try all the other optionsWe arrived around 8:30pm on Monday, there wasn't much line, but it quickly filled in. We got lucky and got a parking spot inside, otherwise you may have to park on the main street or in towards the residents.

The food is delicious. The service friendly and fast. You order at the window, then wait in the casual, almost outside, fun area for your number to be called. Very relaxing.Parking: The restaurant is slightly outside the busy central town area so more options for street parking. We were towing a trailer and had no problem finding a long parking spot. We did eat at 8:30pm so maybe that played a role.

Cash only. ? But $20 went a looong way! Tortillas appear to be flour only, which I don't like normally, but these were handmade on the spot, slightly fluffy and didn't stick to my teeth, haha. Taco fillings were great, but the tortillas made the whole taco experience amazing. #16 Super-Rica Especial ?Negatives: Cash only! Parking sucks. Limited seating. Salsa selection is limited to red, green, and pico de gallo. Tacos come with just meat, no onions and cilantro. We came during a weekend trip in January. Visited on Saturday and they were closed for vacation, but Maps didn't indicate the closure. Luckily they were open the next day so we hit them on the way home.I would suggest visiting early on a trip since Maps info seems unreliable.Met a lovely couple who shared their table with us. They regularly drive an hour from Ojai to eat here.

There aren't that many vegetarian options, but the ones they do have are so good. The rajas con queso taco in particular was amazing. Be advised that it's cash only.

I have been a patron of this place since 1978 and I can tell you there’s nothing on the planet as incredible, as fabulous as the gourmet Mexican food cuisine offered at this family run Santa Barbara institution. The mastermind behind it all is Izzy, Isadoro and if you ever get the opportunity to eat here you will be hooked!Vegetarian options: There are several dishes without meat.

Best word that comes to mind is "overrated". We waited for 45 minutes and that is with no line for mediocre food because of a a large takeout order. It wasn't dark when we got there and it was dark when the food came out. We could barely see our food. Highlight of the meal is most definitely fresh tortillas. Don't waste your time and money. You can definitely find a better place to eat.
