Met a friend here for a beer. We also ordered food from the window and took it back to our seat. Booth food and drink were great! Good casual place to hang out. Also had good TVs for watching football.

One of the best spots in the Funk Zone, hands down! A little of something for everyone too- beer, wine, and food. It's a great spot to meet up with friends and hang for a while. I love that they have both indoor and outdoor seating options. Their staff are always super friendly too. Parking is a bit of a pain but it is everywhere in the Funk Zone. Definitely check this place out if you are hanging in the area!

They won't let you taste a draft before purchasing a whole drink. Choices are limited. Female bartender and bathroom had the same attitude!

Quite possibly the finest beer pub in all of the USA. They have an amazing selection all the time on tap, and a hard to find cold case full of cans you can consume on site for a fee, or to go for no fee. The food served is also out of this world! I really like the Turkey Burger, and the tacos.

I hate leaving negative reviews but I do feel like this one is a given, the server was not friendly at all, she was rude and not welcoming like everyone else in Santa Barbara, horrible first impression if I could leave no starts I would.

The one and only great Tap Room in SB. Have been coming here since they first opened. The owner really takes pride in his business and it shows in the quality of the establishment. They always are switching out the beers and have a great beer room as well. If you are looking for a fun casual spot to hang and have some great beers this is your spot.

Love the drinks, good location in the Funk Zone. HOWEVER, every time I have gone here the employees have been so rude. They are not friendly and last weekend one man actually snapped at my friends and I. This place has potential to be great but unfortunately the staff sucks and they need to reconsider working in customer service. I will not be going back to this place.

food is great - Bartender with Backwards Hat and Beard is not so friendly. Will not come back. Used to be a regular, now I will regularly avoid this place.

They have a fantastic curation of drinks on tap and in the fridge at the back, which I am a big fan of. What I am not a fan of, and it seems like a set pattern with Llama Dog based on other reviews (look at all the 3 star or less reviews!), is the rude, abrasive behavior of the backwards hat bearded bartender. I have experienced my fair share of rude customer service, but never have I experienced two independent friend groups in town boycott an establishment because of repeated run ins with the backwards hat bearded bartender. Beware, because he seems to get a kick out of confiscating all drinks from a table because of one person (for example: showing a digital ID instead of physical). The rest of the group drinking legally with physical IDs get their drinks confiscated because of one individual's mistake (even thought we showed our IDs to the bearded bartender not even 10 minutes ago). There is no chance to explain anything to him - he does not inquire first, just aggressively grabs our drinks with no warning, often spilling them over the customers he is confiscating from. That should give you an idea of his abrasive behavior. The right thing to do is remove the offending individual from the establishment (which other bars do), not punish the whole group. This is a recurring incident (a different, lame reason each time), to the point where my friend groups prefer to grab drinks and go elsewhere. He knows my groups because we are frequent clientele. It is unfortunate that one bad apple casts the whole establishment in a bad light. A hospitality course would help this 'gentleman' learn to behave like a true gentleman, especially if there are so many low star reviews specifically calling out, the backwards hat bearded bartender.

I rarely write negative reviews, but my recent encounters with a specific bartender there, has left me disheartened. Recognizable by his backward-worn baseball hat and beard, I've dealt with him multiple times, and each interaction is has been negative due to his unprofessional attitude. A group of us visited today, spent over $100 on beer enjoying them in their patio. He came by and switftly took away our beers mid-drink, citing "loss prevention" issues, despite us having the receipt and literally just paid through him. This lack of common courtesy and inconsistent behavior is very disappointing. After sharing this experience with some other friends of ours, I was surprised to hear that a few of our female friends have also shared similar negative experiences with this same bartender, leading them to avoid the place altogether due to his negative behavior. In contrast, the other employees at the establishment have been awesome, great and friendly, which makes this review so hard to write. It's unfortunate that the multiple actions of one individual, has tarnished the reputation of what was once a favorite spot for our group of friends. The multiple and consistent negative experiences that I have had and heard of with this particular bartender overshadows the positive aspects. Until there's a resolution and commitment to fostering a more welcoming environment, I won't be a customer, and I'll advise others accordingly.

Nice brewpup. Great selection of craft beers. Nice artsy industrial vibe. Some days "The Nook" (a tiny kitchen) serves fun grub. There are a handful of adequate wines on tap as well, for us non beer drinkers. Usually moderately full of locals, but I've never seen it uncomfortably crowded. Recommended.

The beers are pretty decent here. The bartenders are friendly. Burgers from the nook are really good. That's the main reason I come here. The place is dog friendly which is a big plus. Always a good spot to watch a game or socialize. It's also a good spot in the funk zone as there are many other places to cruise to once it dies down.
