Delicious! Best roast beef sandwich I've had period.. Roast beef sandwich was very generous on the meat and flavorful.

The sandwiches are great, and so is the collection of specialty drinks. The owner? We'll, it's an acquired taste. Think East Coast, folks, not California, East Coast like many of the charcuterie items they offer, such as beef Hot Dogs and pastrami. Or think "Soup N**** of Seinfeld infamy. Why -- once when I couldn't find something right away in his cool box he called me "grandpa" and he likes to refer to my wife as my "granddaughter". I strongly suspect his curmudgeonly persona is his shtick, and he's really a hell of a nice guy. Let's think of him and cherish him as a real character in an otherwise rather bland Santa Barbara!

My favorite place for years, i'm not too old but my mom took me here a lot when i was a bit younger so I've been going for over 5 years and we never stopped. Its always consistently good and has never EVER (and i mean when i say this) been bad, they have by far the best french dip sandwich in town and also the best Au Jus sauce i've ever had. Cant get a better high quality sandwhich that'll fill you up anywhere else that tastes that damn good.

Best veggie sandwich in town. The owner is an awesome gritty dude who does tons for the community, especially the elderly and rescue animals. Anyways, I'm salivating just thinking about the bread! Ate it before I could get a picture....next time.

I grew up eating sandwiches with my family here, and during COVID my dad and I would leave large tips to try and support the owner. A little while ago my wife went to the deli to surprise me with a sandwich. She came back in tears because of how awful she was treated by the owner. It's honestly a heart breaking loss. I still hope things turn around for the owner and the deli, but for me I've lost this place.

Went in for a couple of sandwiches and the guy at the front taking our order was extremely rude and clearly racist. He did not address us and took his sweet time making us wait outside. He Made my partner and I feel extremely awkward and uncomfortable. Kept trying to make jokes that were clearly making us uncomfortable. This alone is enough to make us not ever come or recommend this place. The food is below par as well. We ordered two hot chicken sandwiches, my chicken was cold to the touch. Would not recommend.

Definitely worth having.. The New York style Deli with a Santa Barbara relaxed feel.. I enjoy it immensely.. The sandwiches are hearty and fulfilling well worth it.. Great personable service from the owners, felt like friends.. I will come again

No doubt about it, stay away from this place. Food is so-so, but the owner is the RUDEST S.O.B, you'll ever cross paths with. I won't go into the whole story (see the zillion 1 star yelp reviews with the same story about his rude behavior). All I'll say here is that he does not deserve anyone's business. I wouldn't give him a penny for a sandwich. Too bad, because I like supporting local businesses. I recommend Norton's downtown for a REAL deli with excellent sandwiches and a sweet, polite owner, or Habit in the La Cumbre area.

The mall should subsidize this place for all the people it brings into la cumbre plaza. Best sandos in SB.Has a lot a character, great subs, and unique sodas. Also extremely dog friendly.

Having to wait outside is d**** The owner seemed like he could care less how long you wait. People just walk inside cutting in front, asking questions or for condiments. Ordered the California steak and it was just drenched in Alfredo sauce, not good.

Great, fast service! My Italian sub was just as expected. My lunch companions were also pleased with their roast beef sandwiches.

One of the best sandwiches I've had for a while. Good bread and fresh ingredients , equal a good meal. I will definitely refer..

Plaza deli is soooo good! It's like a hidden treasure in the La Cumbre shopping center. My latest trip proved how much interest it's garnered because the line was sooo long and never slowed down. They have a pretty extensive menu of sandwiches and salads, but options to customize your order to be exactly what you want. I had to take half of my sandwich home because it was way too much to eat in one meal. I love the spicy Turkey toasted. My husband loves their Italian. Everything I've tried is super tasty, though! Definitely stop in. They have tons of outdoor seating and it's very dog friendly.
