It's basically an outdoor mall. It's totally fine, and preferable to being indoors, especially when the weather cooperates. There's a range of shopping options and if that's what you want? It's a good place to go. You can find a bite to eat easily enough and there are some different options. The best thing about it was the sunset I caught.

Beuatiful place. Lots of places to shop and restaurants. Parking is $3 per hour.

I cannot believe they want to tear down this beautiful mall in downtown Santa Barbara. Shame on them! Such a beautiful outdoor mall and place to enjoy with friends. With it's beautiful Mexican architecture. Why not tear down ugly areas of Santa Barbara. You know it won't be replaced with buildings as beautiful or be for all to enjoy. I hope everyone rallies together to stop this! I am appalled that you want to destroy the beauty of my hometown and take away areas where people can gather and enjoy eachothers company. If it isn't thriving then think of a way to revive it without destroying this beautiful Santa Barbara jewel. Do what other towns did before covid; music evenings, tastes of downtown, fun festivals there, etc. Please leave this beautiful space alone!

I hadn't planned to walk up State Street for shopping but I found myself there and just kept walking. I had seen the reviews for Paseo Nuevo Shopping Center and as I passed by I found myself turning into it. I have mixed feelings about it.One the one hand, this center was charming. It was lovely to weave in and around what felt like little streets in another country. On the other hand, I was really disappointed with the retail options! While there were a few staple "mall type" stores, the rest of the options were so random. Most seemed to sell clothing or accessories that made me think "from sweat shops?" or some other tchotchke type stores. The retail in this plaza just didn't flow or make sense to me.Walk this shopping center for the walk. But, if you're looking for good shopping, skip it!So cute... so blah!

I sat in the store for a long time before I got any help and when I got ”help” it was not a good experience. I had to make an appt for the next day in which they brought me in sat me in a chair, rolled me through a bunch of product and sold me a bunch of items that I didn’t really want. I don’t mean to be naïve and d**** but they’re really good at pushing stuff on you . They’re super expensive, pushy and the clientele is not that nice. Or pardon me. They are nice when they think you might be spending money on their inferior.products.I’m bringing everything they pushed on me back to the store. There was basically nothing I really wanted except for possibly the eye syringe. Which I didn’t even get to try!. A small thing like that was $200!!!Beware if you get nabbed to go in. Take it from me, they will sell you something inferior for a ton of money. They are definitely good at smiles and sales pitch. There’s a reason they’re all attractive. Either don’t go in or good luck to you.

It's a lovely out door mall, that's the best way I could describe it. There's lots of stores and restaurants and other small businesses who post up outside like a little market.

Stopped at 805 Boba since I was looking for a good Chai tea. They only had milk tea that was decaf which was a syrup but ok. Around the corner at Pura Vida coffee society I found a very good, perfectly sweetened, nicely spiced, brewed Chai tea where you could see the spices which were toward the bottom of the cup, $5 for a medium.

Nice little mall. Bought a few things from one of the shops.

The main stores (Macy's and Nordstrom) left the Paseo Nuevo and what remains is a shadow of its former self. Tourist tack. Low end/high price eateries. Give it a skip!

I never saw this beauty before. Amazing architecture and beautiful design.

This is probably the last clean area left in the downtown. Btw, it’s disheartening to see Santa Barbara downtown deteriorating over the past few years. State street smells like a public toilet and is occupied by so many homeless. So many stores are closed. Surprisingly, right across Hwy 101, the street suddenly becomes so clean and everything is bright and shiny again. Why?!

what a nice little shopping center in Santa Barbara! We walked all around it. There's a huge variety of stores, eating areas, etc. spanning multiple streets. Overall, it was a really fun experience and I liked the variety of everything. All the architecture looks so nice and the streets are clean.

I love this little mall that is open and has all kind of variety in dining, shopping, and exploring. This is one of my favorite places in SB to hang out. Definitely recommend a visit for your next trip ?
