So yummy. I had to still my daily almond croissant bc it was sticking to my hips. Folks are nice and great rewards program. Outside seating is great too.

Stopped here for a quick bite before we continued on the way to cemetery The breakfast croissant for me, and fried breakfast sandwich, for my husband, were good. First time here. We've been to Harry's next door and thought we were going to eat there but found out Harry's didn't open until 11am. We were an hour too early. But decided to go into Renaud's. We will be back.

Macarons: ok. I've had better but it comes in nice boxes. Croissants: I'm looking for the best croissant in California. This one is a close one for 1st or second place. It comes down to preference. It has the correct texture and taste. It falls slightly in buttery taste (like a smidge 3 percent). If you like fluffier texture, you'll prefer the slightly more dense/layered croissants from Bree'osh. Both good and I would have both any day. The Bomb: too mousse for me. I prefer more texture. The crunchy hazelnut on the outside added crunch factor but it was stale. It

Black forest yule log (over the Christmas holidays), ordered from the Gelson's location. To. Die. For. Perfection.

“Breakfast is on me,” said Mike. I acted surprised for a moment before continuing to order an array of tiny desserts to go and an entire pie.“What time do you want to pick up the pie?” Asked the man behind the counter. I told him, and he informed me I could pick it up at Gelson’s, the grocery store a few door down on the day before thanksgiving. He told me the total and I double clicked my Apple Pay, scanning it over the click to pay spot.Denied. Shocked, I tried again with the same results. Then it dawned on me. The notification I had received a notification on my phone at 6:17am. It had woken me up. I had been sleeping, not adding auto renewing additional services on LegalZoom, so I immediately contacted the credit card company to dispute the charge. They hadn’t mentioned that they had locked my card. The man behind the counter looked at me impatiently and I turned to Mike.“I’ll pay you back.” I said.We finished ordering our breakfast and sat down to wait. The food arrived quick and cold, but we ate it anyway.A week later, it was the day before Thanksgiving, and I made my way to Gelsons to retrieve the pie. The place was packed, a type of crazed urgency hung in the air. Everyone was calm and courteous, but the tension was palpable with the invisible chaos of rich people.I braced myself and headed toward the bakery, where I waited in line. When it was my turn I told the girl my name. She flipped through the pages, scanning the list of dozens of names. Mine was nowhere to be found. I tried Mike’s name, still to no avail.I shrugged and grabbed one of the pies from the display and an orchid and continued onward to the checkout line. Two months later, my mother texted me at 8am. Her water heater had exploded and flooded her garage. I grabbed the carpet cleaner that my neighbor had given me after I helped her move, and hurried over to help. We spent an hour removing boxes from the garage and I used the carpet cleaner to suck up gallons of water from the floor. Luckily nothing was greatly damaged, I’ve seen much worse. My mother was grateful and insisted on taking me out to breakfast. She suggested Alysia bakery but I told her I didn’t want to go downtown.“Whereever you want to go!” Said my mother.“Renaud’s,” I said.On the drive over, the memory of the pie returned. We bypassed the self ordering and waited in line for the cashier, who was the same fellow who had assisted Mike and I.“Hey, I don’t know if you remember me…” I said, before telling him what happened with the pie.“I can’t do anything,” he said. I stared at him silently. “Maybe if you had come back like the next day we could have helped, but we can’t do anything now.”We then ordered our breakfast, which again arrived quick and cold but we ate anyway. It turned out that the Legalzoom charge was made by my now ex-roommate Imperial who is lucky that there’s a statute of limitation on pie.

Picked up a couple of pastries to go and they were superb! We got a morning bun and a sticky bun and they were perfectly executed. I used the self-ordering station. I loved that for each pastry item added, there was an option to have it warmed up, cut in half and in a paper bag. I wish we had time to sample the other treats and coffee. We asked for refills for our reusable water bottles and were graciously accommodated.

Their raspberry tart was pretty good- I liked it best out of the decadent chocolate and the exotic one. Their ice tea was a little too sweet for me, and they do a small sale after 3:30 I believe for some of their pastries.

The quiche is good and Renaud salad pretty average . The toasted garlic baguette was cold . We ordered an apple pie requested to be heated took a long time and came back cold .

One of the few pastry shops open until 4:00pm in SB. We arrived at 3:15pm and were told that the kitchen was closed and that we could only order pastries and they could not be warmed up. There is a kiosk screen on the counter when you first walk in that you can place your order. While I was using the kiosk, the man at the cashier was taking new orders in line. I ordered a 16oz hot chai latte, a cinnamon hazelnut roll and an almond croissant. The chai latte was perfection. I love that there was a lot of cinnamon topped off. The hazelnut cinnamon roll was so flakey and buttery. The cinnamon flavor was not overbearing but just right. The almond croissant was flakey with light almond, slight sweetness and buttery flavor. Great pastries from what you would expect from a specialty bakery. Highly recommend. They have indoor seating but you know the drill; when in SB you must enjoy the beautiful weather and fresh air. So we sat on the patio seating.

Upper State Street convenient. This is a local favorite location but it's low-key... relaxing, and very quiet for the early morning. Something I appreciated. It felt like just being in Europe at a nice café only tropical. As you can see in the picture, the breakfast sandwich was delicious.... And the potatoes were all kinds of amazing good.... This humble item continues to fascinate me with its possibilities. Some of the most delicious breakfast potatoes I've had! They're known for the bakery items, desserts. As usual, I focused on savory! It was just the perfect meal to start the day. The coffee and everything that they make is of a very high quality! A must!-G

Best chocolate croissants I've ever had. Super buttery. I wish they were in LA. I crave these and think about them a lot. LOL LOL Sat outside. Only been here once pre-COVID. Got a meal here.

The food is amazing I come here all the time with my kids but it’s way to hot inside awfully hot I feel bad for the employees as they’re wearing full suits and always sweating I don’t know if the ac works but they should get it fixed iTs almost summer and the heat is deadly

I love their potatoes. They have a lot of dairy free options too. It gets crowded in the am, but it's easy to get in out and out because there's multiple ways to order.
