Friendly service with a smile. Medium drip coffee is $4.05. My companion says it was quality coffee. He did squabble about the price being steep for drip. Not the best he ever had. Plenty of seating but a bit cramped. They keep the doors wide open so you get a whiff of coffee smell. Parking is plentiful with a huge lot next door. There is also street parking as well.

Amazing place!! We were helped by the manager himself and he was very friendly. The avocado toast was sooooo good. There was (loud) construction going on inside but we sat outside and it was totally fine. Will definitely go back here :)

A great local spot with amazing coffee (I love the cold brew!) and wonderful service. If you buy a bag of beans, they throw in a free cup of hot or iced coffee - a nice surprise and pick-me-up during my latest visit.

Love the music and atmosphere in here! The music keeps me in high spirits while waiting for my drink. I love that they have a free refills for drip coffee within the first hour of purchase, because they have so many flavors to try. The wait was a little bit long for an espresso drink, but this is a good place to catch up and chat with someone or study. I got the matcha latte and it was very foamy on top with great flavor. You can also buy samples or bags of all the different coffee blends that they roast here!

Yesterday I went to the sb roasting company with my sister. I got the iced white chocolate mocha and it tasted so bad. I could barely take a couple sips. What was so weird is that my drink came out tasting watery with no taste of even espresso or white chocolate. We sat in the establishment for maybe 10-15 minutes then we head out and enter the parking lot. I take a look at my cup seeing a hair. I thought the hair was on the cup but IT WAS IN THE DRINK. I was sipping on the drink in the establishment not even realizing it the whole time. I go back in the establishment and head to the counter to tell the barista there was a hair in my drink and she responds to "ooo, let me make you a new one". I took the new one she made me but I honestly should've asked for a refund at that point because I knew the coffee was not going to be good. What was crazy is she didn't even apologize for there being a hair in my drink at all. Mind you it was her and another barista with blonde hair back there. The hair that was in the cup looked like it was black. She had black hair, wonder where that came from .

This was not a productive place to come get work done. There was a pungent smell, not from the roasting beans, more like a patchouli. The music was chaotic, and the ceiling fans created shadows that would have given a healthy person a seizure. Their "free refills but only for an hour" policy is a little weird. Granted they're not watching the clock but it was a little off putting. The Santa Rosa blend drip was smoky and tasted like carbon.

Nice coffee shop with really pleasant interior and fast service, a great place to sit down and do work for a few hours.

(Snacked 12/07/23 TH @9:45am): There were plenty of roasting aromas in this Santa Barbara coffee shop, but I wasn't having any of that! I met a local realtor at Santa Barbara Roasting Co. before we spent the day together as he gave me a crash course and viewings of the Santa Barbara real estate investment rental market. If I had my way, I would've suggested a donut shop for a possible apple fritter experience. Needless to say, he was the expert in the area and where he wanted to take me, so I left it to him. If you knew me, I wasn't a coffee or caffeine drinker, so I hoped this place had something for me. Was there anything to wet my whistle or help my hunger once I arrived at this Santa Barbara roastery!? PURCHASE 16floz Chai Latte with 50% RoCo Chai/50% Portland Chai Mix & Whole Milk ($5.25): Chai Latte made with their house brewed chai, I opted for a blend of their two different kinds of chai, a spicier version (RoCo Chai) and a sweeter version (Portland Chai). This was a calming soothing drink with flashes of seasoning and spices. Needless to say, the decision to go with whole milk wasn't the best idea. Cinnamon Rose Pastry ($6.50): It was like a hybrid between a cinnamon roll and a croissant. This scrumptious flakey pastry was slightly buttery with enough sugar to cause a mess but didn't peel apart or unravel easily. Tasty indeed, but the price dampened my enjoyment. Sticker (COMP): I loved stickers and took great pleasure when I stuck them on the walls of other businesses, usually breweries. I truly hoped this was free or the person behind the counter was simply being kind. SERVICE I was warmly greeted by a young woman behind the order counter who was ready to take my order. Since this was my first time here and knew my personal options were limited, I needed a few minutes to peruse the menu before I made my selections. Once I placed my order, my drink was quickly made and ready at a nearby counter while my pastry was slightly warmed up. Once I gathered everything, I easily found a small table to enjoy my breakfast before the realtor arrived. Everything was efficient and straightforward - great job! PARKING (Varied; FREE this instance) There was a decent-sized public lot with timed parking directly across the street that supported the handful of businesses in this quaint enclave. There may've been parking along the nearby streets, but the lot was more than adequate - 'nuff said! ATMOSPHERE, DÉCOR, AMBIENCE Coffee and roasty aromas filled the air and lured you like the sirens in "The Odyssey". A sizeable storefront that was bisected into two sections by a wall, where one side had the main order counter and a cluster of tables while the other side had the pick up counter and a wider array of seating options. In each case, spacing was cramped with minimal walking room. The darker brown wood paneling coupled with the copper-colored flooring provided a warm feeling like a log cabin. An assortment of odds and ends were displayed on the brick walls. Ample natural lighting came through the many large front glass windows and doors while various electric ceiling lights filled in the rest. There weren't any TVs, while pop music played in the background. ATTIRE Totally casual, so I would normally be in a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops. OVERALL Santa Barbara Roasting Co. was a chill place that provided me with a good breakfast-type meal with quick service, and I would consider another visit if the circumstances presented themselves. Obviously, this wouldn't be my first choice, but the many patrons who were also there may beg to differ with my assessment. Aside from the minimal options for me, the elevated prices also played a factor. Plus, I loved to support small businesses whenever possible. I found very good value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around $11.75 BEFORE any discounts and/or tip). And, they accepted my credit card of choice... AMEX! 4.0 STARS

I added ristretto shot on top of the mocha, but it taste like water with sprinkle of chocolate. I don't feel mocha at all either. This is not worth 5.10 dollar. I won't come back for a coffee. I used to like iced mocha in here but warm mocha is the worst choice I have eve had.

I spent the day at Stearns Wharf and decided I needed a cup of joe. I was crossing under the freeway and decided to check out this shopping center located really close to the Amtrak station right after you cross the bridge. Someone had recommended it a few days prior and said it was about everything you would want out of a coffee shop. Boy is it!!The place is excellent. They had to have really hired some talented people with a real eye for detail to put this place together. The feel and atmosphere is so warm and inviting I found my self kind of just lost in the atmosphere (see attached photos.) The inside is so unique I found my self looking at all the eye candy they had. I almost wanted a tour guide to take me through the store and tell me where they found some of the stuff. The music station was perfect. The jams are great!! The place is also clean enough to eat off the floor. So if you drop something you can safely go by the 5 second rule.I am a coffee connoisseur and kind of a caffeine junky. I love light roast coffees. Most people think dark roasts are stronger and that isn’t the case. Here is a quick chemistry lesson. When they roast the beans the duration they are roasted determined how much caffeine evaporates out. Dark roast is a longer roasting time. Thus . . . Lower caffeine content. They have a Santa Barbara medium roast that I got. It was a delight and of exceptional quality. I drank 3 cups it was that good. The service was excellent. John O was my cashier. He was an absolute delight to deal with and made me feel right at home. I was a little rough from the ocean and he treated me with a ton of respect. You could say I am writing this review as much because of how John treated me as how good the coffee was. If you are coming through Santa Barbara on the Amtrak, Santa Barbara Roasting Company should be your first stop!!Thank you Santa Barbara Roasting Company for the excellent experience!! I will be back for more. Much more.

Love this place for the comfy seating, access to power outlets, nice to environment and tasty coffee. But the wifi is terrible and very unreliable unfortunately. I've asked a few times if they are able to fix but haven't seen any improvement. Don't come here if you need to run a large program like MS Teams or Zoom calls.

Great coffee roasters with lots of space inside. Expertly prepared espresso, but did not like the slightly unsustainable fact it came in a paper cup when I selecting dine in.
