Best sandwiches in town! They've got a great variety of super tasty salads and sandwiches.I usually try to mix it up but my favorites are the Chicken Chipotle Club and the Marin.Whenever I can, I always try to hit up South Coast for Lunch.

I decided to order food at this restaurant today after years of not eating it and I could not regret it more. The tuna sandwich (Darren's Tuna) they sold me is absolutely terrible. It is overloaded with tuna and they put a whole can of jalapeños in it!! The staff need to be better trained to make sandwiches. This is absolutely terrible. I will never eat South Coast Deli again.

A delicious and sandwich, indeed! A friend who went to university of California Santa Barbara recommended this place to me quick sandwich and salad place. After reading the reviews, I was initially concerned about the line, but when I got there on a Saturday afternoon, there was absolutely no line. I got the chicken pesto sandwich as well as the turkey sandwich, in addition to the Napa cabbage salad. The salad was by far my favorite thing, definitely a must order. It is also a great size as well, good for maybe two meals. The sandwiches were pretty good as well, but I felt the chicken pesto sandwich also called the Rome sandwich I believe, needed some mozzarella as well as onion. It had a lot of pesto, and was a little oily, which I didn't fully mind, but I just felt the sandwich needed a little more in texture and flavor. If I remember correctly, you can probably just add those things in and I think at that point it would've been a five out of five sandwich. Your own turkey was my husband's favorite, I thought the turkey had a slightly weird taste so it wasn't bad, but was not my favorite. Essentially I got the list of turkey sandwich that didn't have any bacon and got it without cheese, but I was a little surprised at the limited types of turkey sandwiches for a deli. As far as ambience, it really is a pick up place or a simple place to go to lunch. I do appreciate they had the olive oil and balsamic vinegar on the side as well as some to go boxes. Also a nice touch that they sell whole bags of kettle chips, cause who just wants a small one? Overall, we definitely return and get the sandwich with above modifications as well as try something else. Great for picking up and going to the beach or back to the hotel. Note, I believe they are closed on Sundays.

Always great food and service! I come early to avoid lunch crowds! And they have gluten free bread!

Man! Even better out here in Goleta than downtown! The staff is bussin' and the sandwiches are off the hook! More parking and better service. Love this place! I'll eat here once a week!

SALADS ARE WORKS OF DELICIOUS ART! The deli is known for superb sandwiches, but truly their shining and equally craveable accolade are their gorgeous, fresh, dynamic and delicious salads! -They are huge, layered with super fresh ingredients and always a feast for both the eyes and palate. My favorites?....the kale salad and the BBQ chicken salad. Truly, they give you enough for two separate meals. Also, they are kind enough to include an extra large (and extra) side of salad dressing upon request. The kale salad includes toasted pine nuts, heart of palm, and sun dried tomato in a light garlic vinaigrette. Delish! They are great about getting orders to-go ready expediently. Parking is out front and is a bit hard to grab during rush hours. The employees are kind, fun and hard-working. Never disappoints!

A sandwich is well balanced of ingredients; every bite is satisfying, from crunchy lettuce to creamy spreads, which satisfy the overall eating experience.

Both were excellent. The bread was Fluffy on the inside and crunchy on the outside, very good quality 10/10. The Marin had a really good base for greens and a great creamy mayo that I'd imagine is house made and it really made the sandwich in my opinion. The BBQ Chicken had a little more sauce than needed but still was very very good with the combination of bacon, lettuce, and avocado. My girlfriend rarely eats more than half and she devoured almost the whole sandwich! "I'm mad that I'm full cause I want to keep eating" was her comment. Decent price for the amount of food you get. I definitely could break this up for two lunch days depending upon how hungry you are and how much you eat. Overall I'm really happy we chose this place. The gals upfront are nice.

Robert Emmett is definitely my go to sandwich. Rich in flavor. Nice place for pick up or meet up for work lunch.

There isn't a single thing I dislike about this place. Every sandwich I've had from here has beaten my expectations. Eat your food fresh.
