More of a nautical themed bar than a true tiki bar. Drinks are different but excellent. Wish the music was more on the tropical or surf side. The only "negative" is the location in the funk zone which attracts more of a hipster and millennial crowd.

Fun Drinks and Great Atmosphere! My family and I had a fantastic time at the "Test Pilot" in Santa Barbara! We decided to take my in-laws there after my father-in-law heard about it from a bartender and was eager to try it out.I opted for the family-friendly "Virgin Buccaneer" while my father-in-law went for the Purple Mai Tai. He raved about how delicious his drink was, and I thoroughly enjoyed mine too! What really impressed me was the ambiance and attention to detail. The drinks were beautifully presented, prompting me to snap a few photos to test my photography skills on the spot. Needless to say, they turned out great!Overall, our experience at the "Test Pilot" was delightful, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for fun drinks and a great atmosphere in Santa Barbara. We'll definitely be returning soon!

Super rude bartenders.

Cool place to have a drink. Very mellow and laid back. They do not have ingredients to make a lot of basic drinks, just the fancy stuff so don't go and expect to get a vodka cran or anything too plain or

Will be turned away if you are from out of country and don't have your passport!Brought some friends visiting from Canada here for a drink and were turned away because they didn't have their passport as ID. We're all 30 and we're ID'd using drivers licenses at many other bars in the area without issue. We were told it was California state law but couldn't find anything to confirm that.

I like this place, but I would recommend that they add some food items like appetizers to go with the drinks. This place needs a little sprucing up as it just looks like a dark hole.

Expensive good tasting measured weak drinks. Cool and trendy. I will not go back. It's a turnoff to to see bartenders measure drinks. Weak!

The Thai iced tiki was ok. but overall i think these drinks are overpriced and not a lot of booze in them. the other thing....is that when it gets crowded, its really hard to get to the bar. not sure who designed the space, but they had no clue what they were doing. not to mention, the bathroom is in the back and you have to navigate the shoulder to shoulder crowd to get back there. there are better spots.

Best bar in town! This tiki bar is conveniently located in the funk zone and always leaves us happy. We came back a few times throughout the last few weeks for fun cocktails with dazzling visuals! Some favorites include the (Potentially) Spicy Margarita, Zombie, Ken-Tiki Kentucky, and the Purple Mai Tai was a popular choice! The seating indoors and high tables outside are both comfortable and plentiful. The bartenders here know what they’re doing and make drinks that are sure to pack a punch.Worth mentioning the crowds on weekend nights so be prepared to wait a bit. So worth it if you ask me!

The taller orange drink was a spiked Thai tea (was so good 8/10) and the purple drink was a mai tai if I remember correctly (also very good but def not on the sweet side like I'm used to 7/10). I forgot what the 3rd drink is but it was a 10/10 for me. Def a place to stop at while in SB.

Love love love this place! Great atmosphere. Bartender was great. Drinks were perfectly mixed. Got the Test Pilot, Ken-tiki Kentucky, and the millennial falcon fizz. All super good. Will be back to get the cute shirt, and another few drinks!
