I have been here many times over the years and it hasn't gone too downhill. Yes, the quality has taken a hit and the prices have gone through a steep increase, but it is still reasonable compared to the other soju bars in Santa Clara's Ktown. They have a nice selection of alcohol and offer soju in fresh fruits. I am partial to their coconut soju served in a coconut ? and the pineapple soju?.They have some basic side dishes on hand because who can go without kimchi for some of these dishes? but you have to ask for it. You may also want rice even though it could taste old but you're too drunk to care.I like their seaweed rolls with vermicelli because they fry it like spring rolls which is quite different from other places. I also recommend the spicy chicken with cheese and the seafood pancake. The kimchi fried rice is decent with the perfectly cooked egg but not the best. I don't recommend the army stew. It's hard to rate the service because it's not consistent. I do really appreciate the hours though, open until 2am everyday. It's popular enough that sometimes I have to wait for a table on a late night weekday. There are only a few spots in front of the store. The other spots are usually for the other stores unless they are closed. However, there is parking around the corner and in the back.

It reminds me of a Korean bar and the taste is just as good as eating in Korea.

1/1/24Rude rude and ruder!!!They ran us out of there like we came to steal something !!It was 12:30am and they said they close at 2am on the website! To top it all off we called to make a order for pick up and no one spoke English... So I figured If we go in we could get a better understanding. NOT!I won't be coming back.10 out of 10 don't recommend ?

I don't know what their criteria for side dishes are, or what you need to order to get side dishes. Korean restaurants give small dishes is the most basic practice. But last night when we went to eat, each table of guests had a small dish, only we did not get it, this is my second time come here, the first time also need to ask the waiter to get it, the second time is the same. Plus, the service was really bad because we weren't Korean. There's absolutely no way to come back.

Has always been a good time, but recently, management changed and it's even better. The food is more flavorful and the service is perfect. Some favorites are the seafood rice cakes, kim chi fried rice, bulgogi, and seafood pancake.Hope they stay around forever!

The best Korean side-dishes in town at very reasonable prices. My friends and I start with their combo and order extra dishes. Their seafood pancake is excellent.

***BEWARE**** do not come to this place, Absolutely the worst restaurant with full of scamming customers with menu in entire Santa Clara. We ordered su lung tang and the lady says it’s good and in fact do not order two since you can share and we also ordered duh bok gi. They give us duh bok gi first and takes a long time for su lung tang to arrive To surprise it only had 3 pieces of stripped meat and all noodles??!!? Noodles in a su lung tang? I’ll let the photos do the talking. Wasted our time. This clown of a place.

Dae Bak is located in the Buttitta Plaza. It is a small strip plaza with limited parking. Service was not the best - there was only one waitress on the floor doing everything and she was not the most friendly nor helpful, but you could tell who the regular customers were because she was way more attentive and nicer to those particular tables. My friend did the ordering, and she ordered the Dae Bak Fries and Military Army Soup for us to share. The portions were huge and we actually had leftovers. The fries was okay - it was a bit saucy, but not much flavor or taste to it. The soup was pricey, but it was decent and it had a nice kick to it - it was nice for that cold evening.
